Yang style tai chi – knee pounding

The beating methods of Yang-style Tai chi include moving and blocking, skimming, elbow bottom pounding, planting pounding, and finger crotch pounding, which is called “Yang-style Tai chi Five Pounds”.

I will introduce the actual combat technique of “knee pounding”.

“Knee pounding”, one is to protect one’s body below (especially the knee joint) from being hit, and the other is to use the action of “hugging” to reduce the opponent’s strength and destroy the direction of the force encountered, so as to take the opportunity to hit and destroy the enemy’s muscles, internal organs, meridian points, etc., so that the enemy’s head, chest, abdomen, crotch and other places are hit and defeated.

Ninth technique:

The enemy steps up to the right and punches us in the face with a straight right punch; We immediately crouched down and sideways, and we dodged (Figure 9-1). Immediately afterwards, our side hooked the enemy’s right knee socket with our left backhand and quickly lifted up, forcing the enemy’s center of gravity to be unbalanced (Figure 9-2). We then hit the enemy’s crotch with our right fist, severely damaging the enemy (Figure 9-3).

Tenth technique:
We stand with our left foot in front; The enemy steps forward with his left foot and kicks our left knee joint or shin of the lower leg with a low right kick (Figure 10-1). We immediately thrust the enemy’s right calf forward and left with our left hand, and forcefully lifted upwards, forcing the enemy to fall backwards (Figure 10-2). Immediately afterwards, we step on the enemy’s abdomen with our left foot, lean forward, and punch the enemy’s head or chest from top to bottom with our right fist (Figure 10-3).

Eleventh technique

Both sides stand in a left three-body posture and confront each other (Figure 11-1). The enemy strikes our chest with a left fist in the direction of the left step; We immediately stepped out of our left palm and stuck our hands to the upper left as our body sank and forced the enemy’s waist to be exposed (Figure 11-2). Immediately afterwards, we took the opportunity to hit the enemy in the waist and abdomen with our right fist to defeat the enemy (Figure 11-3).

Twelfth technique

The enemy attacks our abdomen with his right fist; We immediately took out our left palm to intercept below and stick to the clamour, forcing the enemy’s chest and abdomen to be exposed (Figure 12-1). Immediately afterwards, our side quickly struck the enemy with his right fist from the top of his head, face, chest, abdomen, and crotch from top to bottom, hitting five key parts of the enemy in a row (Figure 12-2). The enemy, due to continuous blows to the crotch, must lower his head for protection; Taking advantage of this opportunity, we quickly slammed the enemy’s jaw with a right hook to defeat the enemy (Figure 12-3).

Thirteenth technique

The enemy steps up to the left and attacks our head with a straight left fist; We immediately intercept upwards with our left hand and grid to the left, while turning our bodies slightly to the right to avoid them (Figure 13-1). Immediately, our left hand grabbed the enemy’s left wrist and dragged it to the left rear, causing the enemy to lose strength and lean forward (Figure 13-2). Immediately afterwards, we kick the enemy’s front leg from the front right to the left with our right foot, and at the same time punch the enemy on the head or back of the neck from top to bottom with our right fist to the left (Figure 13-3).

Technique 14

We stand with our left foot in front; The enemy steps forward and left and hits us in the face with a straight left fist; We immediately grabbed his left wrist with his left hand and turned it out to the left and down, causing him to turn his body to the right and backward while twisting, forcing his back and lower back to be exposed (Figures 14-1, Fig. 14-2). Immediately afterwards, our side quickly stumbled between the enemy’s feet with our left foot, and punched the enemy’s back (or the back of the head, the back of the neck, and the back of the back) from top to bottom with our right fist (Figure 14-3).
