Traditional martial arts wrestling

I have compiled a set of wrestling fighting techniques of traditional martial arts and shared them with you in installments.

In the following icons, those wearing dark shirts are us, and those wearing light shirts are enemies.

First, the neck is supported and the front falls

The enemy stepped forward to attack Taiwan; Our left leg kicked the enemy in the abdomen (Figure 1-1). Taking advantage of the enemy’s abdomen kick and bending forward and leaning forward, our left foot quickly fell forward and advanced, while holding the enemy’s head and neck with both hands (Figs. 1-2). Immediately afterwards, we slide backwards with both feet, twist to the right at the same time, and quickly pull back and force back with both hands supporting the enemy’s head and neck, forcing the enemy’s center of gravity to lose balance and fall forward (Figures 1-3).

Second, fall on the back of the neck

The enemy steps forward and left and punches us in the face with his right hand; With our left foot in front, we block the defense with our left forearm (Figure 2-1). Immediately afterwards, we turned our right foot to close to the enemy, and quickly wrapped our right arm around the enemy’s neck, while pressing our hips against the enemy’s abdomen (Fig. 2-2). Immediately, the upper body leaned over and turned left, the legs bent and the knees stepped on the ground, the right arm was pouted, and the enemy fell to the ground with the twisting and turning of the body (Fig. 2-3).

3. Fall on the back

The enemy steps forward and left and punches us in the face with his right hand; With our left foot in front, we block the defense with our left forearm (Figure 3-1). We then quickly put our right foot between the enemy’s legs, while the right arm went sideways through the enemy’s left armpit and hugged the enemy’s lower back (Figure 3-2). Immediately afterwards, our body twists sideways in accordance with the movement of the right arm, and leans forward, while the left hand pulls its right arm forcefully, and throws the enemy out from the back to the right front (Fig. 3-3).

Fourth, cut the neck and don’t fall

The enemy steps forward and left and at the same time hits our head with a right swing; With our left foot in front, we block the defense with our left forearm (Figure 4-1). Then grab the enemy’s right wrist, swing the right leg forward to the back of the enemy’s right leg, block the enemy’s right leg, and press the right arm from the enemy’s left shoulder at the same time to the left front and down, lean forward with the momentum, and use the right armpit and chest to hit the enemy’s left shoulder and neck, forcing the enemy to fall to the ground after being pinned (Fig. 4-2, Fig. 4-3).

Fifth, hug the waist and move

The enemy stepped forward and left and punched us in the chest with a straight left fist; We defend with our left foot in front and our left forearm inside (Figure 5-1). Immediately, our right foot quickly went up to the enemy’s left foot, and the right hand simultaneously hugged the enemy’s waist from behind, bent both legs into a horse step, pressed the right chest against the left side of the enemy’s upper body, quickly straightened and straightened the crotch, lifted the enemy and threw it out to the right and lower back (Fig. 5-2, Fig. 5-3, Fig. 5-4).

6. Hook and fall

Both sides step up to the left at the same time and punch the enemy with straight fists (Figure 6-1). Our side is the first to stop, and quickly slide forward to step on the left foot between the enemy’s feet, hold the enemy’s waist with both hands at the same time, the chest is close to the enemy’s chest, the right foot kicks the ground hard, and the left leg hooks the enemy’s left calf from the outside and back, knocking the enemy to the ground (Fig. 6-2, Fig. 6-3, Fig. 6-4).

7. Twist and stumble

The enemy steps forward and left and hits us in the head with a straight right fist; We quickly blocked the defense with our left forearm inward; Immediately afterwards, our left hand grabbed the enemy’s right wrist, forcefully retracted, grabbed the enemy’s right wrist arm with the right hand at the same time, twisted the enemy’s right wrist arm upward, inserted the right foot forward into the back of the enemy’s front leg knee, pulled his wrist with the left hand, tripped and kicked the enemy’s left heel with the right foot, threw the enemy to the ground, grabbed the enemy’s wrist with both hands, and kicked the enemy with his right foot (Fig. 7-1, Fig. 7-2, Fig. 7-3).

8. Kick and kick with legs

The enemy kicks us sideways with his right whip leg; Our side quickly dodged to the right and got on the left foot, and the left hand caught the enemy’s right leg knee; Immediately afterwards, our side kicked the knee joint of the left leg of the enemy’s support leg with our right foot, and raised our left hand at the same time, throwing the enemy to the ground (Fig. 8-1, Fig. 8-2, Fig. 8-3).

9. Stumble on legs

The enemy kicked our waist and ribs with a left leg; We withdraw our right foot and flex our right arm to block the enemy’s left leg; Immediately afterwards, we grabbed the enemy’s right calf with both hands and lifted it, inserted our right foot in front of the enemy’s right leg, pulled the leg hard with both hands, pressed down with the chest side, and kicked the right leg to the ground and thumble the enemy to the ground (Fig. 9-1, Fig. 9-2).

10. Hold one leg and fall

The enemy stepped forward and left and punched our chest with a left punch; Our right foot withdrew to see the enemy’s attack and leaned over to dodge, and then just after the enemy’s fist forced, the enemy’s left arm was inserted into the enemy’s crotch, the hand held the enemy’s left leg from behind, the right arm hugged the enemy’s thigh from the outside, the head followed the situation to the left side of the enemy’s body forward, the chest was close to the enemy’s abdomen and thighs, and then we stood up and pushed the enemy’s abdomen with our left shoulder, and pulled back with both hands to fall the enemy (Fig. 10-1, Fig. 10-2, Fig. 10-3).

11. Fall by legs

The enemy kicked our chest with his right leg; We quickly dodged with our right foot; Immediately after the left side flashes forward, use the right arm to block the enemy’s right leg and ankle, wait for the enemy’s leg to pass, our right hand catches the enemy’s right calf, clenches the left hand into a fist and hits the enemy’s neck, and at the same time lifts the enemy’s right leg and throws the enemy to the ground (Figure 11-1, Figure 11-2, Figure 11-3).

12. Don’t press your legs

The enemy kicks our crotch with a right back leg; Our side took the opportunity to grab the enemy’s right ankle with both hands, and forcefully pulled down the belt, and the enemy wanted to move, and our side quickly leaned forward to crush the enemy’s right calf being held, forcing the enemy to fall forward (Fig. 12-1, Fig. 12-2, Fig. 12-3).

13. Leg pushing

Both sides stand in a left-wing fighting style and confront each other. Party B kicks our chest with a right leg, and our side immediately withdraws its right leg to dodge the enemy’s right leg; Then we supported the enemy’s right leg and foot with both hands and pulled it back violently. We then released our left hand and pushed forward to hit the enemy’s chest, while supporting the enemy’s right leg with our right arm, causing the enemy’s center of gravity to be unbalanced and fall (Figs. 13-1, Fig. 13-2, Fig. 13-3).

14. Hook kick wrestling

Our left fighting stands; The enemy steps forward and left and punches us in the face with a straight left fist; We immediately blocked the defense with our left forearm. Immediately afterwards, we kicked the enemy’s left ankle with our right foot and kicked the enemy to the ground (Fig. 14-1, Fig. 14-2, Fig. 14-3).

Fifteen, the leg to carry the fall

The enemy kicks us in the head with his left leg; Our side immediately withdrew our right foot, blocked the enemy’s left leg with both hands, and hugged the enemy’s left leg in the same way, then turned right and bent the knee, held the enemy’s left calf with both hands and carried it on the left shoulder, and pressed his ankle hard, kicked both legs on the ground, and leaned forward to carry the enemy from his shoulder and fall to the ground (Fig. 15-1, Fig. 15-2, Fig. 15-3).

16. Hold your legs and fall

The enemy steps forward and right, and at the same time hits us on the head with his right fist; We quickly crouched down to dodge; Immediately afterwards, our left foot is quickly inserted between the enemy’s feet, and both hands are forward, holding the enemy’s legs and knees from the outside to the inside, the head is close to the side of the enemy’s waist and ribs, the shoulders are firmly pressed against the enemy’s abdomen, both hands hold the enemy’s legs back, and the upper body leans forward and presses forward and down with the shoulders, so that the enemy falls backwards (Fig. 16-1, Fig. 16-2, Fig. 16-3).

Seventeen, dodge hook

The enemy steps forward and left and attacks us with a right swing fist; We quickly leaned over and dived to the left; Immediately after waiting for the enemy to stop, we quickly stood up and bypassed the enemy’s right arm, sent a right foot to kick the outside of the enemy’s left heel, and at the same time slashed the enemy’s neck and back with both hands, causing the enemy to fall forward (Fig. 17-1, Fig. 17-2, Fig. 17-3).

18. Fall after holding your legs

The enemy kicked our abdomen with a right kick; Our side quickly moved to the side, clenched our right hand into a fist and straight arm to block the enemy’s right leg, and when the enemy’s leg was just over, we turned right and leaned forward to cross our hands and hug the enemy’s left leg and knee, and forcefully pulled back the knee joint of his left leg, and at the same time pushed the enemy’s hip forward, pulling the enemy to the top and falling to the ground (Fig. 18-1, Fig. 18-2, Fig. 18-3).

19. Fall on the waist side

The enemy threw himself at us and wrapped his arms around our waist; Without waiting for further action by the enemy, our side quickly stabilized the body, quickly inserted our right foot between the enemy’s legs, grabbed the enemy’s ribs with both hands to lift its body, and then twisted and turned around to flip the enemy into the air and fall to the ground (Fig. 19-1, Fig. 19-2, Fig. 19-3).

20. Drill and fall

The enemy steps up to the right and punches us in the face with a straight right punch; Our side immediately blocks the enemy’s right fist with our left hand, blocks the enemy’s left hand with our right hand, and then our right hand passes through the enemy’s crotch, inserts our right foot between the enemy’s legs at the same time, holds the enemy’s right thigh with the right hand, kicks the ground with both feet, straightens the chest and raises the head, tightens the enemy’s right arm with the left hand, and throws the enemy out on the shoulder (Fig. 20-1, Fig. 20-2, Fig. 20-3).
