Shaolin meditation: standing and turning meditation

(1) Eight character standing pile method

 

Stand on your feet with your chest straight; The two arms droop naturally, the two hands clench their fists, close to the outside of the two thighs, the center of the fist is inward, the eye of the fist is forward, look at the front, and pay attention to Baihui acupoint. (Figure 55)

(2) Horse step single whip method

 

Move your left foot half a step to the left and bend your knees into a horse step; At the same time, the two fists arc inward through the chest, and then stretch their arms to both sides to punch. The two fists are flush with the shoulder, the center of the fist is forward, the eye of the fist is upward, look at the front, and the intention is to note the Tanzhong. (Figure 56)

(3) Vajra bright arm method

 

Turn your legs into forked steps; The two fists slowly fall to both sides, meet in the circular arc in front of the chest, and then C punches obliquely above the two sides, with the fist center forward and the fist eyes obliquely opposite. Look at the front and focus on the fist center. (Figure 57)

(4) Taishi Zuo Tuo whip technique

 

The two feet are the axis, and the body turns 90 degrees to the left to turn the two legs into a left bow step; At the same time, bend the elbow of the right fist to protect the front of the waist, with the center of the fist inward and the eye of the fist upward; The left fist swings forward in a circular arc, with the center of the fist to the right and the eye of the fist inclined upward. Look at the left fist and focus on the back of the fist. (Figure 58)

(5) Taishi right holding whip method

 

The two feet are the axis, and the body turns 180 degrees to the right to form a right lunge; At the same time, the right fist is placed forward with the body posture, the fist height is equal to the head, the fist center is left, the fist eye is inclined upward, the left fist elbow is protected at the waist, the fist center is inward, look at the right fist and focus on the back of the fist. (6) Tiger right out of hole method

 

Keep your feet still and keep your right lunge unchanged; The two fists change into palms, the right palm is placed on the upper right side of the head, the palm is inclined to the left, and the palm is pointing upward; Bend the left palm forward and put the elbow through, with the palm center to the right, palm and finger forward, look at the front, and focus on the missing points in the right column. (7) Tiger left out of hole method

 

Take the two feet as the axis and turn 180 degrees to the left to form a left bow step; At the same time, the left palm is placed on the left side of the head, the palm is inclined to the right, and the palm finger is inclined to the up; Punch the right palm forward, the palm to the left, the palm finger to the front, look at the front, and note the missing points on the left row. (8) Right double gun exit method

 

With both feet as the axis, turn 180 degrees to the right to form a right lunge; At the same time, put the palms forward, the palms are opposite, the palms and fingers are forward, look at the front, and pay attention to ten fingers. (Figure 62)

(9) Left double gun out of canopy method

 

With both feet as the axis, turn 180 degrees to the left to form a left bow step; At the same time, the two palms go forward with the palms facing each other, the palms and fingers move forward, look at the front and note ten fingers. (Figure 63)

(10) Right turn dodge method

 

The two feet are the axis, and the body turns 180 degrees to the right to form a right virtual step; At the same time, bend your elbows with your palms to protect the outside of your ribs, keep your palms opposite, and keep your palms and fingers oblique forward, looking forward. (Figure 64)

(11) Right Oolong entry method

 

Keep your feet still, bow your right leg into a right lunge, and probe your upper body forward; Put your palms forward slowly, with palms opposite and palms and fingers forward. The mind thought of Qi coming from the fingers and looked ahead. (Figure 65)

(12) Left turn dodge method

 

The two feet are the axis, the body turns 180 degrees to the left, and the two legs bend their knees into a virtual step; At the same time, keep your hands at your waist, palms opposite, and look ahead. (Figure 66)

(13) Zuo Oolong cave entry method

 

Bow your left foot forward into a left bow step; Upper body forward; At the same time, the two palms go forward, the palms are opposite, and the palms and fingers go forward. The mind thought of Qi coming from the fingers and looked ahead. (Figure 67)

(14) Right raise the flag and enter the art of war

 

The two feet are the axis, turn 90 degrees to the left, retract the left foot, and form a parallel step with the right foot; At the same time, the two arms are in the circular arc in front of the chest, and then the right palm is raised above the right side of the head, the palm is forward, and the palm is pointing upward; Protect the left palm on the outside of the left thigh, with the palm back and palm fingers down, look at the front and pay attention to the palm. (15) Raise a flag to enter the art of war

 

Two feet do not move; Raise the left palm from bottom to top on the left side, spread it on the left side of the head, move the palm forward, and point the palm upward; The right palm falls outward on the outside of the right thigh on the right side, the palm is backward, the palm finger is downward, look at the front, and pay attention to the palm. (16) Underwater treasure taking method

 

Lift your left foot, move half a step to the left, bend your knees and squat into a horse step; At the same time, the right palm will automatically circle the arc outward on the right side, and then insert it downward with the left palm. The palm center will be inward, the palm finger will be downward, look at the front, and focus on Changqiang acupoint. (Figure 70)

(17) Arhat gate method

 

Two legs upright into a fork step; The two palms hang in front of the body from inside to outside, the arms are extended obliquely, the palm center is inward, the palm finger is downward, the eyes are in front, and the intention is to pay attention to jujujue acupoint. (Figure 71)

(18) Lao Jun Guan array

 

Two feet big eight characters stand unchanged; Move the palms from both sides to the waist behind you. Press the two kidneys tightly with the palms inward and the palms and fingers obliquely downward. Look at the front and focus on the Mingmen point. (Figure 72)

(19) Keep your feet still, stand in small zigzag steps, and keep your chest straight; At the same time, the two palms descend to the two lower sides, then circle the arc outward and upward, and then fall inward on the outside of the two thighs. The palm center is inward, the palm finger is downward, look at the front, and focus on Zhongwan. (Figure 73)

Retract the right foot inward and form a small eight character step with the left foot; At the same time, draw an arc upward, outward and downward with both hands, with both arms drooping naturally, with both hands attached to the outside of both thighs, and look at the front. (Figure 74)
