Shaolin Changhu Xinyimen boxing moves

Changhu Xinyi gate boxing is the essence of Shaolin Wushu routine in Songshan. It has been preserved for thousands of years, which shows that it has a long vitality. There are many heavy movements in this fist. We should not regard it as a burden when practicing this fist, nor should we change it. Such repeated practice just shows the importance of repetition. There are many small techniques of this road boxing. You should carefully experience them during practice so as to understand their true meaning.

 

1. preparatory type

 

The body is upright, with feet slightly open and shoulder width; Close your hands to both sides, upward and inward in front of your chest, point your palms upward relative to your palms, and look ahead. (Figure 1)

 

Key points: the head should be upright, the cheeks should be slightly retracted, the chest should be included, the abdomen should be retracted, calm down and breathe naturally.

2. press down and lift up

 

With the lower limbs still, press the hands down from the front of the chest, then rotate the hands outward and lift them up to the shoulder level, and look at the front. (Fig. 2-1, Fig. 2 ~ 2)

 

Key points: body coordination and natural breathing.

3. right palm swing

 

The lower limbs do not move. The left palm changes to the fist and is closed to the waist. The heart of the fist is upward. The right palm is thrown to the right with the back of the palm. The palm fingers are to the right and the eyes are on the right. (Figure 3)

 

Key points: body coordination and strong palm swing.

4. turn around and cross the tiger

 

Take the two feet as the axis, turn the body 90 ° to the left, bend the left leg to form a bow step; At the same time, the left fist changes the palm to bend the elbow to the left, the palm to the right, the right palm to bend the elbow to stick to the left shoulder, the palm to the inside, and look ahead. (Figure 4-1)

 

Move the center of gravity backward, take a half step backward with your left foot, point your toes to the ground, and bend your knees to squat into a left empty step; At the same time, the left palm turns inward, the fist face touches the left leg, the right palm turns to the fist and bends the elbow to the right shoulder, with the fist eye down and looking ahead. Key points: the limbs should be coordinated and the empty step should be stable.

5. one punch

 

Straighten up, step forward with your left foot and bend your knees into a bow step; At the same time, the left fist is rotated inward and flushed forward, the fist center is downward, the right fist is placed at the waist, the fist center is upward, and the eyes are looking ahead. (Figure 5)

 

Key points: the upper step and punch should be carried out at the same time, and the punch is powerful.

6. parallel artillery

 

The center of gravity moves forward, the right foot moves to the left foot and steps on the shock foot to establish a formal; At the same time, the left fist is stopped to the waist with the cross arm first, the fist heart is upward, the right fist bends its arm forward and impacts upward, the fist heart is inward, and the eyes are in front. (Figure 6)

 

Key points: shake the feet and punch at the same time. Shock and punch are powerful.

7. smash fist seven stars

 

The right leg is bent and lifted, and the left leg is supported upright; At the same time, the left fist is placed on the right leg with the palm facing up, and the right fist hits the left palm with the back of the fist, looking ahead. (Figure 7-1)

 

Take the left foot as the axis, turn the body right 180 °, the right foot falls on the left foot, and bend the knees and squat down; At the same time, turn the left palm to hit the right forearm, straighten the arm with the right fist, and look ahead. (Figure 7-2)

 

Key points: the support should be stable, the fist smashing should be powerful, the turning should be quick, and the arm touching and turning should be carried out at the same time.

8. turning single whip

 

Turn left 90 °, step left with your left foot and bend your knees to form a left bow step; At the same time, the two fists should be closed in front of the chest, and then hit both sides, with the center of the fist down and looking ahead. (Figure 8)

 

Key points: turn quickly and hold the fist forcefully. Turn and hold the fist at the same time.

9. embrace the moon

 

The right foot and the left foot are close together, and the two legs bend down ‘squat into a Ding step; At the same time, the two fists are rotated in front of the chest, the fist edges are opposite, and the two fists are visible. (Figure 9)

 

Key points: step in unison, crouch and squeeze boxing should be carried out at the same time.

10. left pull

 

Take a step to the left with your left foot, bend your knees and squat into a horse step; At the same time, the left fist changes into a palm and squats to the left to pull and grasp. The palm center is down, the five fingers are crooked, the right fist is placed at the waist, the fist center is up, and the lower left is visible. (Figure 10)

 

Key points: the horse steps should be stable, the crouching and pulling should be carried out at the same time, and the pulling and grasping should be strong.

11. turn around and pull right

 

Straighten up, turn left 180 °, step right with your right foot, bend your knees and squat into a horse step; At the same time, the left palm turns to the waist, the fist heart is upward, the right fist turns to the palm, squats to the right, pulls and grasps, five fingers are crooked, the palm is downward, and the eyes are on the right. 12. turn around to explore the horse fist

 

Straighten up, turn right 90 °, step forward with your left foot and bend your knees into a bow step; At the same time, bend the elbow of the left fist and place it on the side of the left ear. Turn the right palm into a fist and strike flat forward with the fist heart down. Look at the front ten thousand. (Figure 12)

 

Key points: turn quickly, punch forcefully, and take the upper step and high five at the same time.

13. right and left throwing fist

 

Turn the body right 180 °, lift the right foot and then lower the knee into a bow step; At the same time, the right fist is thrown down with the rotation, the center of the fist is to the left, the left fist is to the waist, the center of the fist is to the up, and the eyes are to the front. 14. turn around and break your hand

 

Turn right 90 °, step forward with your right foot and bend your knees into a bow step; At the same time, turn the right fist to the palm and strike upward with the back of the palm forward, and place the left fist at the waist upward. Look at the front and top. (Figure 14)

 

Key points: turn quickly, strike forcefully and flexibly, and step up and strike at the same time.

15. step up to explore the horse fist

 

Step forward with the left foot and bend the knee into a bow step: at the same time, bend the elbow of the left fist to the side of the left ear, turn the right palm into a fist and hit it forward, with the fist heart down and look ahead. (Figure 15)

 

Key points: the punch is powerful, and the upper step and punch should be carried out at the same time.

16. empty step cross tiger style

 

Move the center of gravity backward, take a half step backward with your left foot, point your toes to the ground, and bend your knees to squat into a left empty step; At the same time, the left fist is rotated inward and planted, the fist face is against the left thigh, and the right fist is placed on the right ear side, looking forward. 17. Gu leg oblique

 

Straighten up, support the right leg upright, and lift the left leg with knees bent; At the same time, the left fist changes into a palm from the front of the leg to the lower part of the left leg, and the right fist is placed at the waist, with the fist heart up and the left lower part visible. The left foot falls down to the ground as the axis support, and the body turns right 180 °. The right leg bends and lifts; At the same time, the right fist changes to the palm, and the right leg is held from front to back. The left fist is placed at the waist, the fist heart is upward, and the eyes are on the lower right. (Figure 17-2)

 

Move up and down continuously, and the right foot falls to the ground forward. Bend the knee into a bow step. Turn the body 90 ° with the waist as the axis. 18. arm twisting fist

 

Take the two feet as the axis, turn the body to the left 180 °, bend the knees and squat down into a horse step; At the same time, the two arms of the right fist and the left fist rotate inward and wrap around each other for two circles. The left fist is closed to the waist, the fist heart is up, the right fist is hit to the right, the fist heart is down, and the right side is visible. (Figure 18)

19. independent punching

 

Straighten up and turn right 90 °.
