Qi Jiguang 32 Power Fighting Practice

Tiger boxing is a traditional boxing technique in Fujian Province, which belongs to the southern boxing category and is also a kind of pictogram boxing. The technique is mostly tiger claws and fists, and the technique is changeable, fast as a wheel. When fighting, highlight close combat short fights, defense with attack, open defense and dark attack, with rigidity to control rigidity.

Qi Jiguang was a famous general of the Ming Dynasty, as well as an outstanding military strategist, calligrapher, poet and national hero.

The 32 Chapters of the Boxing Sutra written by him are based on the essence of many famous boxing masters and are regarded as classics of traditional Chinese martial arts.

1. Lazy tie clothes

Both sides of the enemy stand in a left-fighting style and face each other (Figure 1). The enemy slides forward with both feet and approaches us, while attacking our chest with a straight left fist; We immediately retreated to the left and turned to the right, dodging the enemy’s left fist while blocking the enemy’s left forearm with the right forearm to defuse the attack (Figure 2). Second, the golden rooster style

Both sides of the enemy stand in a left-fighting style and face each other (Figure 1). The enemy’s right foot steps forward, and kicks our crotch and abdomen with his left leg; Our side immediately retreats to the left and turns to the right, then raises the right knee, and with the momentum of turning right, cuts the enemy’s left calf with the right knee or lower leg, and breaks the straight force with horizontal force to defuse the enemy’s attack (Figure 4). Taking advantage of the fact that the enemy’s left leg had not yet been recovered and the right leg became an independent support leg, our right foot quickly kicked out to the right side, and kicked the inside of the knee joint of the enemy’s right leg with a low right kick, kicking the enemy to the ground (Figure 5).

Third, the horse exploration style

Both sides of the enemy stand in a left-fighting style and face each other (Figure 1). The enemy slides forward with both feet and steps forward, while attacking our chest with a straight left fist; Our center of gravity immediately retracted and dodged, with our legs in a left imaginary step, while grabbing the enemy’s left wrist with our left hand outwards and grasping the enemy’s right elbow joint with our right hand, and using the force of the enemy’s left fist forward to pull the enemy’s left arm back, forcing the enemy to lean forward (Figure 6). Constantly moving upward, our right hand wrapped the enemy’s left arm downwards to prevent him from changing his move, while the center of gravity quickly moved forward, and the root of the left palm violently supported the enemy’s jaw to defeat the enemy (Figure 7).

Fourth, the single whip

The enemy slides forward with both feet and approaches us, while attacking our upper plate with a straight left fist; We immediately slid our feet to the right and moved our bodies, dodging the enemy’s left fist, grabbing the enemy’s left wrist with our left hand and pulling it back, so that the enemy’s left arm was straightened, and then quickly twisted to the left, using the force of twisting the body, slamming the enemy’s left elbow with the right forearm, injuring him (Figure 8). Constantly moving up, we quickly step up and right to the front of the enemy’s left leg, tripped the enemy’s left leg with our right leg, and at the same time pressed down on the enemy’s left shoulder with the right elbow up, and quickly and violently leaned left and down, and the enemy fell under the combined force of our upper and lower tripped attacks (Figure 9).

5. Seven Star Fist

Both sides of the enemy stand in a left-fighting style and face each other (Figure 1). The enemy slides forward with both feet and steps forward, while attacking our head with a straight right fist; We immediately grab the enemy’s right wrist with our right hand to the left and pull the enemy’s right arm back with the forward force of the enemy’s right fist, forcing the enemy to lean forward, and at the same time quickly punch out the left fist along the outside of the enemy’s right arm, hitting the enemy in the face (Figure 10). Moving upwards, we quickly stepped up to the right, formed a half-horse step with our legs, and slammed the enemy in the abdomen with our right fist to defeat the enemy (Fig. 11).

6. Riding a dragon upside down

Both sides of the enemy stand in a left-fighting style and face each other (Figure 1). Our side takes the initiative to attack, sliding forward with both feet and stepping forward, while hitting the enemy’s front with a straight left fist; The enemy retreats to the left and turns to the left, dodging our left fist while twisting our left arm with both hands and knees (Figure 12).

Immediately following the upward movement, we turned to the right and back to relieve the enemy’s twisting on our left arm (Fig. 13), while slashing the enemy’s head and neck with the right palm and severely damaging the enemy to the ground (Fig. 14).

7. Hanging feet

Both sides of the enemy stand in a left-fighting style and face each other (Figure 1). Our side took the initiative to attack, kicking the enemy’s crotch and abdomen with a left leg; The enemy narrows down and dodges while protecting with his hands downward (Figure 15). Without stopping, our side took advantage of the opportunity to bend forward and bow our heads in the enemy’s direction, did not land with our left foot, kicked the ground with our right foot, and kicked the enemy’s face or jaw or throat with a high right leg, severely damaging the enemy (Figure 16).

VIII. Qiu Liushi

In the upward movement, we simultaneously slap the forearms of the enemy’s hands inward and downward, and grab the enemy’s wrists to defuse the enemy’s attack (Figure 18). Immediately afterwards, our right foot steps forward to the outside of the enemy’s right foot, and quickly turns to the left, crossing the enemy’s arms and pulling hard left and down with both hands, while using our right leg to tightly trip the outside and back of the enemy’s right leg, and throw the enemy to the ground (Figure 19).

9. Downward thrust

The enemy’s right foot steps forward and kicks our abdomen with a mid-left kick; Our feet immediately slide backwards and retreat, our legs are in a left step, chest and abdomen, dodge the enemy’s right kick, and at the same time hook the enemy’s left calf outward with the left hook to defuse their attack (Figure 20). Immediately after the upward movement, our side took advantage of the enemy’s right foot not landing on the ground and unstable footing, quickly took a big step forward with the left foot, formed a left lunge with both legs, and at the same time pushed forward with both hands into palms, slammed the enemy’s head with the left palm, and slammed the enemy’s left rib with the right palm, knocking the enemy to the ground (Fig. 21).

10. Ambush potential

11. Throw the shelf

Moving upwards, we quickly step forward and right to the outside and rear of the enemy’s left foot, and turn left, pulling the enemy’s left arm back as we turn, while the right arm quickly penetrates from under the enemy’s left armpit and forcefully hits the enemy’s chest to the right and back; The enemy fell backwards under our upper and lower tripping attack (Figure 25).

XII. Elbow Swing

XIII. One step

We hit the enemy in the head with a left swing; The enemy retreated to the left and crouched down to dodge, while counterattacking our left rib with the horse’s right elbow (Fig. 28). Seeing the situation, our feet immediately jumped backwards and retreated to dodge the enemy’s right elbow counterattack, while slamming the enemy’s face with a right palm to defeat the enemy (Fig. 29).

XIV. Grappling momentum

Reserve: Both sides stand in a left-hand fighting style and confront each other. The enemy steps forward with his right foot and kicks our chest and abdomen with his left leg; Our feet immediately slide backwards to dodge the enemy’s right foot, while holding the enemy’s left foot with both hands (Figure 30). Without stopping, our right foot immediately steps forward to the front of the enemy’s right foot to trip the enemy’s right foot, while turning left and leaning down, and twisting the enemy’s left leg counterclockwise with both hands, and pressing the enemy’s left leg with the left arm, throwing the enemy to the ground (Figure 31).

15. Medium and four draws

Reserve: Both sides stand in a left-hand fighting style and confront each other. The enemy attacks our chest with his left fist; We immediately dodged to the right side and grabbed the enemy’s left wrist with our left hand (Figure 32). Without stopping, our side immediately moves forward and right foot forward and turns left, pulling the enemy’s left arm back with the momentum of turning so that the enemy’s left arm is straight, and at the same time twisting the enemy’s left arm down and inward with the left hand so that the enemy’s left elbow is facing upward; We then flex our right elbow and smash the enemy’s left elbow bone with the tip of our right elbow, causing the enemy’s left elbow joint to be folded or dislocated (Fig. 33).

16. Fuhu Trend
