Mantis Fist 18 fighting techniques

Mantis Fist is a traditional Chinese boxing method that evolved from imitating the movements of praying mantises. In 2011, Mantis Fist was protected by China’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Mantis fist is both virtual and real, long and short, rigid and soft, hand and foot, making people elusive and defenseless.

Sort out a set of mantis 18 actual combat skills fighting moves, and share them with you in three phases.

In the following icons, those who wear belts are us, and those who do not wear belts are enemies.

First, the praying mantis comes out of the hole

Confrontation between the enemy and ourselves (Figure 1-1). The enemy attacks our crotch and abdomen with a left leg; We immediately turned slightly to the left and half left to rest to protect the crotch and abdomen, while hooking the enemy’s left ankle outward with the right mantis hand to defuse the enemy’s attack (Figure 1-2). Immediately our side stepped forward and left and punched the enemy’s front with a left-punch; The enemy retracts his left leg and leans back to dodge (Figures 1-3). Immediately afterwards, our left foot is half a step forward into a left riding dragon step, while attacking the enemy’s abdomen with our right fist (Figures 1-4). Constantly moving upwards, while the enemy was dodging with his chest and stomach, our side quickly kicked and kicked the enemy in the chest or head with a high right side, and severely damaged the enemy (Figures 1-5).

Second, the praying mantis seeks its way

The two sides face off (Figure 2-1). We step forward and right and poke the enemy’s eyes with our right palm; The enemy slid backwards to dodge, while using his right palm to slap inward to block our right wrist defense (Figure 2-2). Immediately our side slid forward and approached, and then hit the enemy in the abdomen with a right fist; The enemy retreats and dodges right, and defends with his right wrist hooked outward with his left hand (Fig. 2-3). Immediately after moving upwards, our side immediately stepped forward and left to get closer, and attacked the enemy’s facial nose bridge with a left-flipped back palm (Figures 2-4). Immediately afterwards, our side quickly kicked the enemy’s chest and heart with a right right leg, knocking the enemy to the ground (2-5).

Third, the praying mantis pounces

The two sides faced off (Figure 3-1). Our side steps forward and right and attacks the enemy’s front with a right punch; The enemy takes half a step back with his right foot and blocks the defense with his right forearm outward (3-2). We immediately grab the enemy’s right wrist and pull the enemy’s right arm back, while hooking the enemy’s right ankle with a left hook and punching the enemy in the face with a left fist (Figs. 3-3). Immediately afterwards, we quickly hit the enemy in the abdomen or ribs with our right fist (Figs. 3-4). Without stopping, our side quickly punches out the left fist and punches the enemy’s chest and heart socket, crushing the enemy (Figures 3-5).

Fourth, the praying mantis pedals the branch

The two sides faced off (Figure 4-1). Our side steps forward and right and attacks the enemy’s abdomen with a right punch; The enemy retreated to the right and defended with his right hand outward with his right wrist (Figure 4-2). The upward movement did not stop, and our side quickly kicked the enemy’s crotch and abdomen with the left leg; The enemy is kicked and bends forward (Figure 4-3). While the enemy is bending down and bowing his head, our left foot quickly falls forward, and at the same time slams the enemy’s head with the palm of the left palm (Figs. 4-4). Taking advantage of the enemy’s head blow and leaning forward and slow to react, our side quickly stepped forward and right into a horse step, and at the same time hit the enemy’s left ergen or temple with the right elbow, severely damaging the enemy to the ground (Figs. 4-5).

5. Mantis blocking

Confrontation between the enemy and ourselves (Figure 5-1). We slipped forward and approached, feinting the enemy’s face with the right latch, forcing the enemy to defend and distracting (Figure 5-2). Immediately, the Taiwan side immediately struck the enemy front with a left split; The enemy leans back to dodge while using his left forearm to mount the defense (Figure 5-3). Immediately afterwards, our side kicked the enemy’s crotch and abdomen with the right leg; The enemy raises his right foot to intercept (Figures 5-4). Immediately afterwards, our right foot fell forward, and we hit the enemy in the jaw with a right lock to defeat the enemy (Fig. 5-5).

6. The praying mantis passes through the forest

Confrontation between the enemy and ourselves (Figure 6-1). The enemy’s left foot steps forward and kicks our left knee or left calf shin with a low left kick; We immediately raised our left knee to dodge (Figure 6-2). Immediately afterwards, our left foot quickly fell forward and plunged under the enemy’s crotch, riding with both legs into a left dragon step, protecting the head with the left hand, and at the same time striking the enemy’s crotch with the right claw (Fig. 6-3). and grabbed the enemy’s crotch (Figs. 6-4). While the enemy was in pain, our side quickly got up and kicked the enemy’s left ankle or shin with the right heel of the right nail leg, and at the same time slammed the bridge of the enemy’s nose with a right-flip back fist, knocking the enemy to the ground (Fig. 6-5).

7. Mantis picks fruit

The two sides faced off (Figure 7-1). We step forward and left and approach each other, while hitting the enemy’s chest and abdomen with our right knee and hitting the enemy’s head with our right fist; The enemy slid backwards to dodge our top knee while blocking the attack of our right fist with the outside of the left forearm (Figure 7-2). Our right foot quickly lands forward, and then kicks the enemy’s right foot with a hook with our left foot, while our left hand forms a hook to hit the enemy’s throat with a hook back, and the right arm is extended back; The enemy narrowed his legs to avoid our hook (Figure 7-3). Immediately afterwards, our side took advantage of the enemy’s throat being hit backwards, landed with the left foot, quickly turned left and squatted down, rode the dragon step with both legs in a left roar, and slammed the enemy’s crotch forward with both hands into hooked hands with the hook back upwards, severely damaging the enemy (Figure 7-4).

8. Mantis probing claws

Confrontation between the enemy and ourselves (Figure 8-1). We slide forward and get closer, while punching the enemy’s side with our left probing; The enemy blocks the attack of our left hand with his right forearm (Figure 8-2). The enemy then swung his left hand outward and downward with our left forearm, while punching me on the head with a right swing; We immediately blocked the enemy’s right swing punch with the outer block of our left forearm, while hitting the enemy’s chest with our right top knee (Fig. 8-3). Taking advantage of the enemy’s chest being knocked backwards, our right foot quickly landed forward, then leaned forward and slammed the bridge of the enemy’s nose with a right-flipped back fist (Figs. 8-4), and then quickly slid forward to get close, squatted down, formed a right dragon step with both legs, and grabbed the enemy’s crotch with his left hand, severely damaging the enemy (Fig. 8-5).

9. The praying mantis cuts the waist

The two sides faced off (Figure 9-1). We slide forward and approach while poking the enemy’s eye or throat with our right palm; The enemy leans back and dodges (Figure 9-2). Our left foot then quickly stepped forward and approached, attacking the enemy’s front with our right straight fist; The enemy leans back to dodge while blocking the defense with his left arm (Figure 9-3). Immediately afterwards, we step forward with our right foot, while piercing our left hand to cover the enemy’s left arm, and at the same time slash the enemy’s left rib with the outer edge of our right palm to defeat the enemy (Figure 9-4).

10. The praying mantis picks up the knife

The two sides face off (Figure 10-1). Our left foot is half a step forward and attacks the enemy’s crotch with our right leg; The enemy retreats and bends down to dodge our right leg or be hit by a kick (Figure 10-2). Taking advantage of the opportunity, our right foot quickly fell forward, and then both hands formed a hook, and with the back of the double hook, we slammed the enemy’s front or jaw from the bottom up and forward (Figure 10-3). Then, while the enemy was hit in the face or jaw and leaned back, we quickly stepped forward and left, with our legs forming a large left lunge, and at the same time our hands changed from hooks to palms, and both palms sat down with the base of the palm as the force point to sit down and chop the enemy’s collarbone or throat, knocking the enemy to the ground (Figure 10-4).

11. Mantis Mandarin Duck Legs

The two sides faced off (Figure 11-1). Our side uses a false move with our left hand to feint to attack the enemy’s front, then turn 180 degrees to the right back, and attack the enemy’s abdomen or crotch with the right rear leg; The enemy raises his right knee to intercept the defense (Figure 11-2). Immediately, our right foot quickly landed on the ground, our body quickly turned to the left, and with our left leg we slammed backwards and slammed the enemy’s face or chest or abdomen or crotch (Fig. 11-3). Regardless of whether our left leg kicks the enemy or not, our left foot immediately turns to the left and lands on the ground, and then with the help of the force of turning to the left, we attack the enemy’s head or ribs with the right whip leg, severely damaging the enemy (Figure 11-4).

XII. Mantis sweeping hand

The two sides face off (Figure 12-1). The enemy’s left foot steps forward and attacks our left knee joint with his right leg; We immediately raised our left knee to dodge (Figure 12-2). The enemy steps forward with his right foot and attacks us in the chest or face with a straight right fist; Our left foot quickly lands on the ground and dodges the enemy’s right fist to the right side, while blocking the enemy’s right forearm with our right forearm, then grabs the enemy’s right wrist with our right hand and pulls back to make the enemy’s right arm straight and lean forward (Figure 12-3). Immediately afterwards, our left palm swung forward and left along the enemy’s right arm, and slashed the enemy’s left ear root or left neck with the outer edge of the left palm, defeating the enemy (Figure 12-4).

XIII. Mantis hook and slash

The two sides faced off (Figure 13-1). The enemy’s left foot steps forward, and kicks our right leg knee or shin bone with a low right kick; We immediately retreated our left leg half a step to dodge the enemy’s right foot (Figure 13-1). The enemy steps forward with his right foot and hits us in the head with his right fist; We immediately retreated to the left, turned left and blocked the enemy’s right fist with a right-handed inward shot (Fig. 13-3). Immediately, our right wrist twisted down and pressed the enemy’s right wrist, while stepping up with the left foot and slashing the enemy’s front with the left palm; The enemy retreats to the right, while leaning back to dodge, and blocks our left wrist or left forearm with the left forearm (Figure 13-4). Immediately afterwards, our side quickly hooked and pressed the enemy’s left forearm to seal the enemy’s hands, while advancing to the left, and at the same time slashing at the enemy’s front with the right palm, knocking the enemy down like a storm (Figure 13-5).

14. Mantis scissors their feet

The enemy and friend faced off (Figure 14-1). The enemy steps forward and right, and attacks our abdomen with a left fist; We immediately retreat to the left, turn left to dodge the enemy’s left punch, while striding with both legs and arcing our right arm downward to block the enemy’s left fist (Figure 14-2). The enemy then attacks our chest with a right lunge and a right punch; We quickly turned to the right, with our legs in a right step, while blocking the enemy’s right fist attack with our right forearm (Figure 14-3). Immediately afterwards, the enemy hit us in the head with a left swing; We immediately retreat to the right, turn right to dodge, press the enemy’s right forearm with our left hand to seal the enemy’s right hand, and at the same time use our right forearm to block the enemy’s left forearm upwards to prevent the enemy’s left swing punch, and quickly kick the left leg and slam on the outside of the knee joint of the enemy’s right leg to defeat the enemy (Fig. 14-4).

Fifteen, the praying mantis pounces

The two sides face off (Figure 15-1). The enemy slides forward and attacks our face with a straight right fist; Our left foot immediately retreats half a step back to dodge, while using our right claw to grab the enemy’s right wrist and twist it outward to force the elbow on the outside of the enemy’s right elbow joint to face down (Figure 15-2). Immediately we quickly stepped up to the right and kicked the enemy’s right ankle with our left foot; At the same time, bend the left arm and copy the elbow bone on the outside of the enemy’s right elbow joint from the bottom up with the left upper arm, and use the right hand to press the enemy’s right wrist downward to break the enemy’s right arm (Figure 15-3). When the enemy withdraws his right leg to escape, our left leg immediately lands on the ground in the left and back direction, while pushing the enemy’s shoulder and elbow to the right with the left hand, forcing the enemy to fall forward and twisting his right arm to subdue the enemy to the ground (Figure 15-4).

16. Mantis face washer

The two sides faced off (Figure 16-1). The enemy stepped up to the left and punched us in the chest with a straight right fist; We immediately slide backwards to dodge, turn right, and use our left hand to push forward from the outside of the enemy’s right arm to slap the enemy’s right wrist or right forearm to defuse the enemy’s right fist attack (Figure 16-2). Immediately afterwards, our side quickly turned left and struck the enemy’s face or jaw with our right elbow with the force of the turn; The enemy defends our right elbow with his left palm and hits our abdomen with his right fist; We immediately slapped our left hand downwards to defend against the attack of our right fist (Figure 16-3). Immediately following the upward movement, we immediately extend our right arm and hook our wrist downwards to peck down the enemy’s eyes or nose with our praying mantis claws (Fig. 16-4). Constantly moving upwards, when the enemy was hit in the eyes or nose and threw his head back, he immediately leaned forward, and his right claw shook his wrist and slammed forward and upward on the enemy’s jaw with the palm root as a force point, severely damaging the enemy (Fig. 16-5).

XVII. Mantis rolls elbows

The two sides faced off (Figure 17-1). The enemy steps up to the right and attacks our face with a straight right fist; We immediately turn to the left, while grabbing the enemy’s right wrist with our left claw and pulling back, forcing the enemy’s upper body to lean forward (Figure 17-2). Immediately afterwards, we quickly went up to the outside and back of the enemy’s right leg to trip the enemy’s right leg, and at the same time twisted to the left, and with the force of twisting, we rolled our right elbow and slammed the root of the ear or jaw or neck on the left side of the enemy’s head, severely damaging the enemy (Figure 17-3).

XVIII. The praying mantis leaks its hands

The two sides face off (Figure 18-1). We slid forward and approached, attacking the enemy line with our left fist; Opponents slide backwards to dodge while blocking the defense with their right hand (Figure 18-2). We press the enemy’s right arm downwards (Figure 18-3). Without stopping, our side hits the enemy’s side with our right fist; The enemy defends with his right arm (Figure 18-4). Immediately after the upward movement, our right hand turned, and around the enemy’s right arm, we hit the enemy’s chest and ribs inward, defeating the enemy (Figure 18-5).
