The spinning kick is a special leg technique used in Jeet Kune Do to counterattack. The advantage of spinning kicks is that turning around creates the illusion that the attacking enemy mistakenly thinks that you are fleeing, so it can surprise the enemy. At the same time, the spinning kick takes the arc route, which can not only bypass the enemy’s line of sight, but also enhance the power of the kick.
The spinning kick in Jeet Kune Do is used with stress up to the heel or soles of the foot. The attack is usually on the enemy’s head, but it can also attack the enemy’s ribs, abdomen, back or knees.

I have compiled 4 sets of Jeet Kune Do spinning kick moves, and I will share them with you.

In the following icons, the person wearing the Chinese shirt is us, and the person with the shirt tied inside the belt is the enemy.
1. Rear spinning kick
Confrontation between the enemy and ourselves (Figure 1-1). When the enemy rushes forward, we quickly turn to the right and back, and kick the enemy in the head with a right-handed kick, knocking him down (Figure 1-2).

Second, left hook kick head + right hand kick kick belly
The two sides face off (Figure 2-1). We step forward with our right foot, then kick the enemy in the head with a left hook, and the enemy leans back to dodge (Figure 2-2). Immediately afterwards, our left foot landed on the ground, using our left leg as a supporting leg, and the body quickly turned to the right and back, and kicked the enemy in the abdomen with a right-handed kick (Fig. 2-3).

Third, left kick blocking + right-handed kick kick head
The two sides faced off (Figure 3-1). The enemy attacks us in the face or chest with a straight right fist, takes a small step forward with our right foot, and then quickly kicks and kicks the enemy’s right rib with the left side of the center (Figure 3-2). Immediately afterwards, our left foot landed on the ground, our left leg was supported, and our body quickly turned back to the right, attacking the enemy’s head with a high right-handed kick, subduing the enemy (Figure 3-3).

Fourth, feint + spinning kick kick head
The two sides faced off (Figure 4-1). Our side feigned an attack on the enemy’s front with a fist with a left hand and a feigned attack on the enemy’s crotch and abdomen with a left leg (Figure 4-2). Taking advantage of the moment the enemy was defending, we quickly attacked the enemy in the head with a right-handed kick to subdue him (Figure 4-3).
