Jeet Kune Do’s hand-sealing attack technique began with Wing Chun’s use of contact control techniques in Western swords. The specific use is to use the method of sealing the enemy’s upper limbs to fix and restrict its movement, remove the barrier of the enemy’s defense line in the middle line, so that the enemy is in a passive state, and at the same time implement fists and feet or grappling moves to attack the enemy.
Sealing the enemy’s upper limbs and then delivering heavy punches, Bruce Lee’s “Leaky Hand”, one of Bruce Lee’s tricks, is such a sealing attack technique, which is a classic in Jeet Kune Do sealing hand attacks.
The following will share with you the 12 sets of Jeet Kune Do blocking attack methods.
1. Straight boxing head with front hand + clapping arm sealing hand with back hand + straight boxing head with front hand
Both sides of the enemy stand on the right side and face each other (Figure 1-1). Our forehand attacks the enemy’s head with a straight fist, and the enemy’s forehand blocks the defense (Figure 1-2). We immediately slapped and pushed the enemy’s right elbow forward with our back hand, making it impossible for the enemy to counterattack and defend the center line with both hands (Figures 1-3). Immediately afterwards, our side quickly slid forward and slammed the enemy’s front with a straight fist (Figures 1-4).
Second, the front hand straight boxing head + the front hand pulling arm sealing hand + the back hand turning back boxing head
Both sides of the enemy stand on the right side and face each other (Figure 2-1). We attack the enemy’s head with a straight fist with our right hand, and the enemy’s forehand blocks the defense (Figure 2-2). Our forehand grabs the enemy’s front wrist and pulls it back and down, forcing the enemy to lean forward and face us sideways, so that his hands cannot defend his right rear side (Figure 2-3). While pulling the enemy’s forehand arm, we punched the enemy in the face with a strong backhand flip (Fig. 2-4).
3. Straight punching head with the forehand + slap with the left hand + finger poke with the forehand
Both sides of the enemy stand on the right side and face each other (Figure 3-1). Our forehand attacks the enemy’s head with a straight fist, and the enemy’s forehand blocks the defense (Figure 3-2). Our left and right hands immediately swap hands in a circle motion (Fig. 3-3), and the hind hand moves outward to block the enemy’s right wrist, while the forehand changes its finger (Figs. 3-4) and punches the enemy’s eyes forward (Figs. 3-5).
4. Straight punching head with forehand + wrapped arm sealing hand with forehand + pushing palm with forehand to hit the abdomen
Both sides of the enemy stand on the right side and face each other (Figure 4-1). Our front hand attacks the enemy’s head with a straight fist, and the enemy blocks the defense with the inside hand (Figure 4-2). Our forehand immediately hangs the enemy’s forehand arm from the outside to the inside and wraps it around it in a circle (Figure 4-3). Immediately, our forehand turned into the enemy’s inner perimeter and slammed the enemy’s abdomen forward with our palms (Figures 4-4).
5. Straight punching head with front hand + hook sealing hand with front hand + pushing palm with front hand to hit ribs
Both sides of the enemy stand on the right side and face each other (Figure 5-1). Our front hand attacks the enemy’s head with a straight fist, and the enemy blocks the defense with the inside hand (Figure 5-2). Our forehand becomes hooked from the inside of the enemy’s forehand to the outside of the enemy, sealing his forehand and making the enemy form a back position (Figure 5-3). Immediately after we slide forward, the front leg tripped the enemy’s front leg, and at the same time slammed the enemy’s right rib with the palm of the forehand (Fig. 5-4).
6. Straight punching head with front hand + pulling arm sealing hand with front hand + clapping palm with back hand on the waist
Both sides of the enemy stand on the right side and face each other (Figure 6-1). Our front hand attacks the enemy’s head with a straight fist, and the enemy blocks the defense with the front hand inside (Figure 6-2). We quickly grab the enemy’s wrist with our forehand and pull the enemy’s arm back, so that the enemy is in a back position, exposing his right rib and back to us; At the same time, we clapped our hands on the back of the enemy and slammed them on the back of the waist (Figure 6-3).
7. Straight boxing head with front hand + back hand push arm sealing hand + front hand straight boxing head + back hand pulling arm sealing hand + back hand flip back boxing head
Both sides of the enemy stand on the right side and face each other (Figure 7-1). Our front hand strikes the enemy’s head with a straight fist; The enemy blocks the defense with his forehand (Figure 7-2). We then shoved the enemy’s forehand elbow to seal his forehand (Figure 7-3). Immediately our front hand strikes the enemy’s head with a straight fist; The enemy is behind the inside of the hand to block the defense (Figure 7-4).
Immediately after the move, our back hand is inward to block the enemy’s forehand (Figure 7-5). Immediately, our rear hand grabbed the enemy’s rear wrist and waved our forward hand to prepare for a counterattack (Figures 7-6). Our back hand pulls the enemy’s hind arm back and pulls hard, while throwing the front hand back and punching the root of the ear or temple on the right side of the enemy’s head (Figures 7-7).
8. Front hand straight boxing head + back hand push arm sealing hand + front hand straight boxing head + back hand push arm sealing hand + front hand straight boxing head

We immediately shoved the enemy’s forehand and sealed his hand with his forehand (Figure 9-3). Tightly, our side punches the enemy in the head with our forehand; The enemy blocks the defense from the outside (Figure 9-4). We quickly followed the trend and then shoved the outside of the enemy’s forehand elbow to seal the enemy’s hands (Fig. 9-5). Immediately afterwards, our side slammed the enemy’s head with a straight forward fist (Figure 9-6).
10. Straight boxing head with front hand + hand-to-back arm sealing + front-hand split-palm head + forehand hanging arm sealing hand + double-push palm hitting abdomen
Both sides of the enemy stand on the right side and face each other (Figure 10-1). We punch the enemy in the head with our forehand; The enemy blocks the defense from the front hand (Figure 10-2). Immediately after our subordinates, they raised their forearms to seal their hands and prepared for a counterattack (Figure 10-3). Our side immediately struck the enemy in the neck with a forward hand; The enemy blocks the defense from the outside (Figure 10-4). Our forehand immediately hooks the enemy’s rear hand inward and downward, at which point our hands seal the enemy’s hands while opening the enemy’s center line portal (Figure 10-5).
