Introduction to Shaolin Yi Jin Jing and general principles of practice

Shaolin Yi Jin Jing is a martial arts routine with a very clear purpose of fitness. The meaning of “Yi” refers to change, activity and change, and extension is the meaning of enhancement; “Jin” refers to muscles and veins, muscles and bones; “Jing” is the method. Therefore, “Yi Jin Jing” is literally understood as the method of moving muscles and bones to strengthen the body and eliminate diseases and prolong life. In fact, it is a very classic Qigong skill.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the twelve meridians of the human body run Qi and blood. If the twelve meridians are unobstructed, the Qi and blood are harmonious and the body is healthy. On the contrary, if the twelve meridians are blocked, there will be blood stasis and diseases. The muscles around the human body are divided into twelve meridians according to the route of twelve meridians.

The twelve meridians run through the twelve meridians and play a nutritional and leading role in the twelve meridians, and the twelve meridians also play a protective and regulatory role in the twelve meridians. The so-called tendon in the Yi Jin Jing refers to the tendon in the twelve meridians. “Yi” is to change and improve, “Yi Jin” is to improve the twelve meridians.

“Yi Jin Jing” is the method to improve the twelve meridians (Classic), and the fundamental purpose is to cultivate the twelve meridians. The concrete analysis shows that the whole meridian reinforcement is in the excited state when standing the pile, so as to strengthen the conductivity of the meridians circulating in the meridian reinforcement. The key here is to stand at the stake with accurate posture, because the posture of each potential stake is set according to the meridians practiced. If some movements and postures are not in place, you should also know the standard posture and try to do it.

Yi Jin Jing is different from general physical activities. General physical activities also exercise the twelve meridians, but it is not systematic to cultivate a certain meridians, so it is difficult to start the twelve meridians.

The mystery of Yi Jin Jing is to make the whole meridians in the excited state through specific posture, so as to stimulate the corresponding whole meridians, make the whole meridians in an orderly state, strengthen the conductivity of meridians, make Qi and blood unobstructed, and enhance the internal power of human body – true force (internal force).

General rules of practice

1. Every posture in the “Yi Jin Jing” is stake work, which can not be understood as dynamic work. The mistake of various popular versions is to practice many postures as dynamic work. Friends who like the Yi Jin Jing can be confirmed by standing on the stake.

2. Each pile potential is divided into left potential and right potential, subject to the foot. The left foot practices the left meridian tendon in front, which is the left potential; The right foot practices the right meridians in front, which is the right potential. Even the upright pile potential can be divided into left potential and right potential. Carefully observing the ancient legend of the diagram, we can find that the feet of each potential are uneven, and the difference between the front and back of the two feet of the upright pile potential is about three inches.

3. The common point of each pile potential in Yi Jin Jing is that the leader is loose. When standing on the stake, the mind does not support the whole body with the support of various parts of the body, but leads the whole body with the collar strength of the head, which should reach the heel, and the whole body seems to hang up. When the body is loose, the body should relax and fall naturally without support. Only when the body is relaxed well can the strength of the leader reach the heel.

Therefore, when standing at the stake, you should repeatedly check all parts of your body to see if there is any support, and you should relax in time. The septal muscles of the head are most likely to be tense. Relax the heart and mouth fossa to relax the septal muscles, the whole body is also easy to relax, and the center of gravity drops naturally. In short, the leader lifts the spirit and the loose body makes the center of gravity fall. The unity of opposites between the two makes the meridians in a state of excitation. Strengthen the conduction of meridians.

4. The heart should be quiet and deep, without thinking, inaction and silence. Reading Lao Tzu Tao Te Ching more can improve your mood. This is the mental method of Yi Jin Jing.

The three yang meridians of the hand all follow the outer side of the upper limb, in which the Yangming meridians of the hand are on the upper side, the Taiyang meridians of the hand are on the lower side, and the Shaoyang meridians of the hand are in the middle.

The hand Yangming Meridian generates the true force forward, the hand sun meridian generates the true force to open left and right, and the hand Shaoyang meridian generates the true force downward.

1. The first potential of Wei Tuo offering pestle – Hand Yang and clear meridians (meridians)

Key points of pile potential: as shown in Figure 1, the left potential two feet stand outside the eight characters, the included angle is 90 degrees, the left foot is about three inches in front of the right foot, the elbows are the same height as the shoulders, the hearts of both hands are diagonally opposite, about 60 degrees, and the left hand is about three inches forward than the right hand. When standing at the stake, the back should be wrapped round and the inner waist should be straight. The head is loose and looks straight ahead. The right is the opposite.

Circulation of meridians (meridians): the meridians (meridians) of hand Yangming are distributed in the index finger, the outer front edge of the arm, the shoulder blade in front of the shoulder and the cheek. When standing on this pile for the first time, the front of the shoulder and the front edge of the upper arm are sore and hot, which will disappear naturally after regular practice. Gradually, you will feel that the circulation part of the hand Yangming meridians (meridians) is unobstructed, and the true power to move forward will be generated on the palm.

2. The second potential of Wei Tuo offering pestle – hand sun meridians (meridians)

Key points of pile potential: as shown in Figure 2, the right potential, the feet close together into an outer eight character, and the right foot is about three inches ahead of the left foot. The upper body leans forward about 30 degrees, the head is straight, the eyes are flat, the arms are raised horizontally, and the palm is upward. Note: when leaning, do not bend down and bulge your back. Your waist should be straight. You lean your upper body forward with the hip joint as the axis.

Meridians (meridians) circulation: the meridians of the hand sun are distributed in the little finger of the hand, the outer trailing edge of the arm, around the ears and cheeks.

When standing on this pile for the first time, there will be soreness, numbness and heat expansion at the back of the shoulder and the back of the upper arm. After standing for a long time, it will disappear naturally, and then there will be a sense of smoothness and lightness, and the palms will produce a true force to open left and right.

3. Wei Tuo offers the pestle, the third potential, and one hand Shaoyang meridians (meridians)

Key points of pile potential: as shown in Figure 3, the right potential is eight steps, the right foot is about three inches ahead of the left foot, the arms are stretched forward, the hearts of both hands are inward (to their own neck), the fingertips are upward, and pay attention to the straightness of the waist and back.

Circulation of meridians (meridians): the meridians of hand Shaoyang are distributed in the ring finger, the middle of the outer side of the arm (between hand Yangming and hand Taiyang meridians), the neck side of the shoulder and both sides of the cheek.

When standing on a pile at the beginning, the upper end of the shoulder is prone to acid swelling, which will naturally disappear after a long time. When the strength reaches a certain level, there will be a sense of smoothness and lightness in the circulation part of the meridian of Shaoyang in the hand, and then the downward real force will be generated on the palm.

The three yin meridians of the hand follow the inner side of the upper limb, in which the Taiyin meridians of the hand follow the upper edge of the upper limb, the Shaoyin meridians of the hand follow the lower edge of the upper limb, and the Jueyin meridians of the hand follow the middle of the upper limb.

The Taiyin meridian of the hand generates the true force backward, the Shaoyin meridian of the hand generates the true force consistent, and the Jueyin meridian of the hand generates the true force upward.

1. Nine ghosts pulling the horse blade – hand Taiyin meridian tendon (meridians)

Essentials of pile potential: as shown in Figure 4, this is the left potential. The left foot is about three inches in front of the right foot, the right hand is placed behind the head, the palm is backward, and the thumb is on the side; Put your left hand behind your back, your thumb side down, your palm forward (to yourself), your waist ridge straight, and your head up to the left. Note: elbows to the back, do not relax forward.

Meridian tendon circulation: the meridian tendons of the hand Taiyin are distributed in the thumb, the medial front edge of the upper limb and between the ribs. Standing on this pile for the first time, the front of the arm and under the shoulder are sour and swollen, which will naturally disappear after a long time.

If you often practice this pile, there will be a feeling of numbness and heat in the muscle circulation part of the Taiyin meridian of the hand, which will be smooth and light, and then the true force backward will be generated on the palm.

2. Pick the stars and change the fighting potential – hand Shaoyin meridians (meridians)

Essentials of pile potential: as shown in Figure 5, this is the left potential. The left foot is about three inches forward, the left hand is placed behind the hip, the palm is downward, and the arm should be straight; Put your right hand on the top of your head, palms up, and arms straight. Face your head to the right and lift your chin slightly. The right is the opposite.

Meridian tendon circulation: the meridian tendon of hand Shaoyin is distributed in the little finger, the medial posterior edge of arm and chest rib.

When standing on this pile for the first time, the thenar of the small fish will feel sour and swollen. After a long time, the circulation part of the Shaoyin meridian of the hand will feel smooth, and the true force of inward consistency will be generated on the palm.

3. Out of claw and bright wing potential – hand Jueyin meridians (meridians)

Essentials of pile potential: as shown in Figure 6, this is the right potential, and the right foot is about three inches in front.

Put your hands on the top of your head, palms upward, fingers opposite, the right palm is slightly in front of the left palm, the waist and spine should be straight, the head should be clear, and the body should be loose. Note: the shoulders should not be lifted, but should be sunk.

Circulation of meridians (meridians): the meridians (meridians) of Jueyin in the hand are distributed in the middle of the middle finger, the inner side of the arm (between Taiyin in the hand and Shaoyin in the hand), under the armpit and between the chest and ribs.

When standing on this pile for the first time, the inner side of the palm root and wrist is sour and swollen. After a long time of practice, there is a sense of smoothness in the circulation part of the Jueyin of the hand, and the upward real force is generated on the palm.

The three yin meridians of the foot are mainly distributed in the inner side of the lower limb, of which the Taiyin meridians of the foot are distributed in the front edge of the inner side of the lower limb, the Shaoyin meridians of the foot are distributed in the rear edge of the inner side, and the Jueyin meridians of the foot are distributed in the middle.

The tendons of the foot Taiyin meridians (meridians) generate the true force backward, the tendons of the foot Shaoyin meridians (meridians) generate the true force downward, and the tendons of the foot Jueyin meridians (meridians) generate the true force inward.

1. Pull nine oxtail backward – tendon of foot Taiyin meridian (meridians)

Essentials of pile potential: as shown in Figure 7, this is the left potential, the left foot is a virtual step, the toe points to the ground, the toe points to the left, the heel is lifted, and the center of gravity is on the right foot; The thumb and index finger of the right hand point to their own Yintang, and the other three fingers naturally clench their fists. The right hand is about one foot from the head, and the right elbow is as high as the shoulder.

Place the left hand behind the left crotch, straighten the little finger and index finger, point to the back, hook the middle finger and ring finger back, buckle the thumb at the end of the index finger, and turn the palm to the right.

Meridians (meridians) circulation: the Taiyin meridians of the foot are distributed in the big toe of the foot, the medial front edge of the lower limb and the chest and abdomen. Often practice this pile to the place where the tendons of the Taiyin meridian follow

Create a sense of patency, and the true force behind your feet.

2. Three sets of terrain – foot Shaoyin meridians (meridians)

Essentials of pile potential: as shown in Figure 8, this is the right potential. The right foot is about three inches in front of the left foot. The distance between the two feet is about one foot, and the two feet form an outer eight character. Bend your knees and squat down, close your hips, straighten your waist and raise your head.

Put your hands beside your hips, open your five fingers naturally, the tiger’s mouth forward, the palm down, turn your elbows outward and forward from behind, opposite to your knees backward. The right hand is slightly ahead of the left.

Meridians (meridians) circulation: the meridians of the foot Shaoyin circulate in the little toe of the foot, the heart of the foot, the medial posterior edge of the lower limb and the front side of the spine. Often practicing this pile can strengthen the spine, have a sense of smoothness in the circulation of meridians (meridians), and generate downward real force under your feet.

3. Tail hanging potential – tendons (meridians) of foot Jueyin meridian

Essentials of pile potential: as shown in Figure 9, this is the left potential, the left foot is slightly in the first three inches, the outside of the feet is divided into 180 degrees, the toes of the feet are outward, the heels are inward, the heels are about one foot apart, bend over, raise your head, cross your hands with ten fingers, put your fingers on the opposite palm instead of the back of the palm, and the palm is downward. Note: do not bend your knees or lower your head. The right is the opposite.

Meridian and tendon circulation: the meridian and tendon circulation of foot Jueyin is in the middle of the big toe of the foot and the inner side of the lower limbs, between the Taiyin of the foot and the Shaoyin of the foot.

Often practicing this pile can make the place where the meridians pass feel unobstructed and produce the true force of inward consistency under your feet.
