How to catch the enemy’s wrist

The Golden Wire Wrist Wrapping Technique is a classic move in Chinese folk martial arts grappling.

When our side is grasped and held by the opponent’s wrist joint with one or both hands, we use grappling actions such as entanglement, pinning, twisting, and frustration to control the opponent’s wrist joint and then subdue the other party.

The main point is to use the inward rotation of the wrist to grab the opponent’s wrist, thereby controlling the whole body, and losing resistance due to wrist and elbow pain.

Let’s introduce you to two classic gold wire wrist wrapping moves: “gold wire buckle wrist” and “gold wire wrist foil”, the following is a GIF animation demonstration of these two moves.
