Bruce Lee on “Jeet Kune Do”:

The ultimate in Jeet Kune Do is not in trivial, piecemeal one-and-a-half moves, but in the cultivation of the mind and the extreme exercise of the flesh.

Hold the green stick with your right hand on the right side of your body, hold the white stick with your left hand on the left side of your body, and hide the stick chain behind you. Both hands can freely choose to hold the green and white sticks in either the front or back grip.

Assuming that the left hand releases the white stick and the right hand is holding the green stick, it is called the jE holding the hidden stick posture (Figure 26);

Assuming that the left hand releases the white stick and the right hand holds the green stick in reverse, it is called the reverse grip hidden stick posture (Figure 27).

Starting from this situation, you can directly use four attack stick moves, including external splitting, picking, external picking, and external sweeping, as well as three dance stick moves, including external dancing, front dancing, and up dancing (see page 65), without any adjustment actions in advance. Bruce Lee on “emptiness”:

Let the inner world be free from any stubborn and rigid attachment, and everything outside will naturally appear open.

Without being bound by any knowledge, observe things with a simple and innocent baby like nature, and the true meaning is within it.

2. This style is not suitable for defense, and it is easy to expose its own emptiness and cause fatigue of the arms. Although Bruce Lee has used it many times in movies, the author believes that it is not appropriate to use this momentum too much in actual combat.

Bruce Lee on “emptiness”:

To understand the truth of martial arts and to gain insight into your enemies, you must abandon all school ideas, prejudices, loves and hatreds, etc., and then your mind may be peaceful and unbiased, and in this silence, you can observe things clearly and holistically.
