1. Release method of wrist grasping
Usage: when the gangster’s right hand is grasping my right wrist, my left hand slaps and fastens the other party’s right arm, then my right foot retreats half a step and turns to the right, stretching his right arm to the lower right of me.
Use the outer palm edge of the right little finger to cross cut the gangster’s wrist and wrap it outward. At the same time, press the gangster’s elbow forward and down with my left elbow joint to subdue it (as shown in Figure 1-5).
2. Self defense methods when the shoulder is caught (I)
Usage: when the gangster hits his back with his left hand (right jaw), I can quickly grasp his chest (as shown in Figure 8-6).
Key points of action: the upward hook swing of the right fist and the backward retraction of the left fist should be coordinated to form two resultant forces.
3. Self defense methods when the shoulder is caught (II)
Usage: when the gangster suddenly grabbed my right shoulder from the side with my left hand, I quickly grabbed and buckled his wrist with my left hand, whipped the gangster’s face upward and outward from the inside of his left arm, and then turned out to twist the gangster’s elbow joint (as shown in Figure 9-11).
Key points: the twisting part of the left arm should be accurate, the force should be rapid, and the hook kick should be sudden.
4. Self defense method of being grabbed by gangsters with both hands and shoulders
Usage: when the gangster reaches out his hands to grab my shoulders, my left foot quickly retreats half a step back, extends his arms, opens his arms with force, quickly clenches his fist and strikes the gangster’s jaw, eyes and throat forward (as shown in Figure 12-14).
Action points: bend your elbows with both arms and swing your fist upward at the same time.
5. Self defense methods when grasping the head
Usage: the gangster reaches out his right hand and grabs my hair. I quickly hold both sides of the gangster’s thumb with both hands upward. At the same time, I sit back and bend down.
Both hands are forced to press the back of the gangster’s hand to form a reverse joint. The gangster must bend forward and then punch the gangster on the face with the upper right hook (as shown in Figure 15-18).
Action points: the left leg retreats, the body center of gravity moves backward and the two hands pull down the belt at the same time, and the action is coordinated.
6. Self defense method of being grabbed by gangsters from behind by collar (or hair)
Usage: when the gangster grabs my collar (or hair) from behind, I quickly take a step forward, take my hind legs and push the gangster’s crotch or abdomen. When he bends down in pain, I quickly step out of the back whip and punch him back on the head to subdue the gangster (as shown in Figure 19-21).
Key points: the back pedal action should be fast and accurate, and the whip fist (or back top elbow) should hit the head fiercely.
7. Self defense methods when being forcibly stopped (hugged) by gangsters
Usage: when the gangster wants to hold me in front of him, stab the gangster’s eyes or throat with his fingers within an effective distance (Fig. 22-24).
Action points: the shot should be fast and accurate.
