The defensive technique of boxing is a technique that every self-defense fighter must master, and it is a basic skill of self-defense fighters. Reasonable, accurate and ingenious defense can not only effectively protect oneself in self-defense fighting, but also create better timing and conditions for attack.

This is a sequel to the animation teaching: SWAT demonstration by himself, the basic footwork and punching attack in police fighting techniques.

First, shoot the defense

Slap blocks are mainly used to prevent punches that are in a straight line against my upper body.

1. Demonstration of technical action of shooting defense

On the basis of the left fighting stance, when the left hand is blocked, while the upper body is slightly turned to the right, the left hand is palmed to the right front side, and the right fist is protected in front of the jaw;

When shooting right, while turning the upper body slightly to the left, the right hand is palmed to the left front side, and the left fist is protected in front of the jaw.

When slapping, focus on the palm and the inside of the forearm, the slap distance is about 5~10 cm, and look at the opponent.

2. Demonstration of the practical application of shooting defense technology

Use the patter defense to change the offensive line of the opponent’s left and right straight punches and weaken the offensive power of the opponent’s straight punches.

Second, hang up defense

It is mainly used to prevent the enemy’s swing punch and other horizontal attacks on our side.

On the basis of the left fighting position, when the left upper block is defended, the left arm is raised, the left fist is placed about 20 cm away from the temple, and the upper body is slightly turned to the right, and the right fist is protected in front of the jaw;

When hanging the block on the upper right, raise the right arm up, place the right fist about 20 cm from the temple, and at the same time turn the upper body to the left and the left fist to protect the chin;

The fist is blocked, focusing on the outside of the left and right forearms, with the fist slightly higher than the head, and looking at the opponent.

2. Demonstration of the practical application of the hanging block defense technique

Use the Hang Guard to disrupt the enemy’s left and right fist attacks on both sides of our head or weaken the power of their attacks, so as to protect themselves.

Third, cover the elbow defense

It is mainly used for the enemy’s left and right upper hook fist attack on our chest, ribs and abdomen.

1. Demonstration of the technical action of covering elbow defense

On the basis of the left fighting posture, when defending with the left elbow, our left forearm is retracted, the elbow is flexed against the left rib, and at the same time the abdomen is tucked in, the chest is included, the body is slightly turned to the right, and the center of gravity falls on the back right foot;

When defending with the right elbow, I bend my right elbow (less than 90 degrees), and my upper arm, forearm and elbow move to the left front side by turning the body to the left, and I am attached to the ipsilateral ribs;

The upper body should contain the chest and tummy tumble, with belt arms, and the arms should be tightly protected by the chest, ribs, and abdomen, and look at the opponent visually.

2. Demonstration of the practical application of elbow defense technique

When the enemy strikes me in the ribs and abdomen with a left (right) upper hook, we defend with our right (left) elbow, so that the enemy’s incoming punch is blocked in the right (left) elbow.

Fourth, back dodge defense

It is mainly used to defend the enemy’s straight line punch attack.

1. Demonstration of technical action of back-flash defense

On the basis of the left fighting stance, the center of gravity of the body is shifted back, and the upper body is slightly tilted back; The left and right hands are still in a fighting style, looking at the enemy.

2. Demonstration of the practical application of back-flash defense technology

When the enemy attacks me head-on and chest with straight fists left and right, our side dodges the enemy’s attack in a straight line left and right.

5. Side flash defense

It mainly defends the attack of the enemy’s jab, straight punch and other straight punches.

1. Demonstration of technical actions of side flash defense

On the basis of the left fighting stance, when flashing on the left side, our upper body and head simultaneously flash to the left front side, and lean forward and turn slightly to the left, and the center of gravity shifts to the left foot;

When flashing on the right, our upper body and head flash sideways to the right front at the same time, and the upper body is slightly tilted to the right front and up.

2. Demonstration of the practical application of side flash defense technology

When the enemy attacks our head with a straight left (right) fist, our side dodges to defend with the right (left) side, and it is the enemy’s punch that slides over the side of our neck and shoulder, making the enemy’s attack fail.

6. Shake dodge defense

It is mainly used for the defense of enemy swinging offensive punches.

1. Demonstration of technical actions of shaking and dodging defense

6 police fighting techniques for defensive punches-illustration-11
On the basis of the left fighting posture, when swinging to the left to dodge, we bend our knees, squat, lean forward with our upper body, and swing our head and upper body from right to left;

When you dodge to the right, the method is the same as to dodge to the left, except that the left and right are reversed.

With the waist as the axis, dodge quickly.

2. Demonstration of the practical application of shaking, dodging, and defensive techniques

When the enemy attacks our head with a left (right) swing fist, we dodge by swinging it to the left (right), so that our head is circled under the enemy’s arm, so that the enemy’s attack is missed.
