Khmer boxing includes four types of attacks: boxing, leg strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes.
Compared to other forms of boxing in Southeast Asia, Khmer boxing emphasizes the ability to move quickly in a standing position, which makes it easier for samurai to avoid attacks from their opponents.
Introducing 5 groups of Khmer boxing offensive and defensive moves.
1. Clamp arm + lock jaw
Both sides faced off in a left-hand fighting style; The enemy steps up to the right and attacks our upper set with a straight fist on our side; Our side immediately dodged to the left side, while blocking the enemy’s right arm with our right arm and clamping the enemy’s right arm, and holding the enemy’s jaw back with our right hand to lock the enemy’s jaw, thereby subduing the enemy.
Second, lock arm + rib
Both sides faced off in a left-hand fighting style; The enemy steps up to the right and attacks our upper set with a straight fist on our side; Our side immediately dodged to the left side, while we clamped the enemy’s right arm with the inside of our right forearm and the outside of our left forearm; Our side immediately pressed the enemy’s right arm down against the enemy’s upper body and leaned forward, and we took this opportunity to hit the enemy’s chest and ribs with our right knee; After our right foot lands on the ground, our left leg immediately wraps above the enemy’s right arm and lands forward to press the enemy’s right arm down, thus throwing the enemy to the ground; We locked the enemy’s right arm with both legs, twisted to the left, and twisted the enemy’s right arm to the left, causing the enemy’s right shoulder to be injured.
Third, don’t arm + kick chest
Both sides faced off in a left-hand fighting style; The enemy steps up to the right and attacks our upper set with a straight fist on our side; Our side immediately dodged to the right side, while we clamped the enemy’s right arm with the inside of our right forearm and the outside of our left forearm; Our side grasps the enemy’s right wrist with its left hand, picks the enemy’s right shoulder with its right hand, locks the enemy’s right arm, and bends the enemy’s upper body forward and downward; We then kicked the enemy from the bottom up with our right leg to hit the enemy in the chest and ribs.
4. Elbow + don’t arm fall + elbow smash chest and abdomen
Both sides faced off in a left-hand fighting style; The enemy steps up to the right and attacks our upper set with a straight fist on our side; Our side immediately dodged to the left side, and at the same time grabbed the enemy’s right wrist with our right hand, and hit the enemy’s right forearm near the right elbow with our left forearm, causing the enemy’s right elbow joint to be injured; Our side immediately grabbed the enemy’s right wrist with both hands and pulled the enemy’s right arm downward behind the enemy, causing the enemy to fall to the ground on his back; While controlling the enemy’s right arm, our side pressed the enemy’s right rib with our right knee; We immediately raised our right elbow and slammed into the chest and abdomen of the enemy from top to bottom, severely damaging the enemy.
5. Kick chest with arm + pull arm fall + kick head
Both sides faced off in a left-hand fighting style; The enemy steps up to the right and attacks our upper set with a straight fist on our side; I leaned back to dodge, while grabbing the enemy’s right wrist with both hands and twisting the enemy’s arm counterclockwise to make the enemy lean forward; We then hit the enemy in the chest or abdomen with a kick with our right leg; After our right foot landed on the ground, we immediately raised our left leg and hooked the enemy’s right arm with our left calf, and we immediately sat back and threw the enemy down; We control the enemy’s right arm with our left leg and both hands, while slamming the back of the enemy’s head from top to bottom with our right heel, severely damaging the enemy.
6. Spiral arm hook kick + rotate twist arm folded shoulder
The enemy attacks us with a straight right fist with his right step, and our hands immediately grab his hand and twist it outward, and at the same time kick the enemy’s right foot with his left leg, causing him to fall; Our right hand continued to grasp the enemy’s right wrist, and our Shen Ting rotated 180 degrees to the left, dragging the enemy’s right arm to rotate, dislocating the enemy’s right shoulder joint.
7. Grab the wrist + smash the elbow + don’t drop the arm + twist the arm + elbow hit the back
The enemy steps up to the right and attacks us with a straight fist on the right; We immediately step up to the left and dodge sideways, while grabbing his right wrist with his right hand, smashing the enemy’s right elbow joint from top to bottom with his left elbow, and then forming a ring clasp with his left hand and right hand to pin the enemy’s right arm; Our body flexes forward, presses the enemy’s right shoulder with our left arm, and throws the enemy to the ground, and we immediately twist the enemy’s arm back, and at the same time smashes his cervical vertebrae with his right elbow.
In fact, the moves are very simple, but usually you need to practice more. Therefore, to practice the above moves, ordinary training is essential, and having a household standing sandbag (tumbler) can facilitate your usual training.
8. Holding legs, choking throat and stumbling + elbows hitting the chest and abdomen
The enemy attacked our middle and upper set with a right leg sweep; Our side immediately stepped up to the right and approached, wrapped our left arm around the enemy’s right leg, and pinched the enemy’s throat with our right hand; We immediately tripped the enemy’s left support leg from the inside out with our right heel, while our right hand continued to push back and pinch the enemy’s throat, throwing the enemy backwards; After the enemy fell, our side quickly slammed the enemy’s chest and abdomen with our right elbow from top to bottom.
9. Holding one leg and falling + kicking the throat
The enemy attacked our middle and upper set with a right leg sweep; Our side immediately steps up into a left lunge, and leans forward, pushes the enemy’s inner right thigh with his left hand, grabs the ankle of the enemy’s left supporting leg with his right hand and pulls back, and falls the enemy on his back; After the enemy fell to the ground, our right hand continued to control the enemy’s left leg, and quickly stepped up and right to kick the enemy’s throat with the right foot.
10. Hold your legs and fall on your shoulders + kneel on your knees
The enemy attacked our middle and upper set with a right leg sweep; Our side immediately steps forward and leans over, grabs the ankle of the enemy’s left support leg with our right hand and pulls back, and at the same time hits the enemy’s thigh with our left shoulder and left arm, and throws the enemy to the ground; After the enemy fell to the ground, our side immediately advanced to the right and knelt down on the chest of the enemy with the right knee.
11. Dive in and grab your legs and fall + lie down on your elbow and hit your back
The enemy sweeps our upper middle plate with his right leg; We immediately dived to dodge and stepped closer, grabbed the ankle of the left leg of the enemy’s support leg with both hands, and then I stepped up to the right and threw the enemy’s leg to the ground; Our side voluntarily fell to the ground, pressed the enemy’s left thigh and buttocks with our back, and at the same time smashed the enemy’s back with our left elbow, severely damaging the enemy.
12. Block straight fist + kneel straight fist
The enemy stepped up to the right and attacked me in the face with a straight right fist; We immediately dodged to the left to the outside of the enemy and blocked from the outside to the inside with our right forearm; Then extend your right arm and attack the enemy’s head with a straight fist, and the enemy’s left hand blocks it; Then we knelt down and slammed the enemy’s right rib with our right straight fist.

13. Dodge block defense + grab wrist twist arm elbow + twist elbow hit ear + twist elbow hit rib

Inflict heavy damage on the enemy.
14. Dodge block + knee hit chest
The enemy steps up to the right and attacks our upper set with a straight fist on our side; Our side immediately dodged to the left to the outside of the enemy, blocked from the outside to the inside with our right forearm, and hit the enemy’s chest with our right knee.
Fifteen, dodge block + hook kick to hit the chest
The enemy steps up to the right and attacks our upper set with a straight fist on our side; Our side immediately dodged to the left to the outside of the enemy and blocked from the outside to the inside with the right forearm, and then pressed down on the enemy’s right arm with our left hand; Immediately, we slammed our right chest with our right swing fist, and at the same time kicked the enemy’s right leg with our left leg, and combined forces up and down to knock the enemy down.
16. Dodge elbow + elbow hit armpit + cross arm hit chest rib
The enemy strikes our chest with a straight right fist on his right step; Our side immediately moved to the left and turned right to dodge 90 degrees, while clamping the enemy’s right forearm with his right arm, and slamming the upper end of the enemy’s elbow with his left forearm, injuring his elbow; Our left elbow then strikes the enemy’s ribs under the armpit, then turns left and hits the enemy’s chest and ribs with our right forearm.
17. Leg smashing with elbow + kneeling knee and chest fall + elbow hitting the crotch and abdomen
Both sides stand and face off in a left-hand fighting style; The enemy attacked our upper plate with a right right leg; I turned left to dodge, while clamping the knee socket of the enemy’s right leg with my right arm, and smashing the enemy’s right thigh muscle group with my left elbow with the force of the left turn; Our side then put our left arm backwards and downwards around the enemy’s chest, while kneeling down on our right knee, so that the rear of the enemy fell on our left thigh; Our side immediately hit the enemy’s crotch and abdomen with our right elbow, inflicting heavy damage on the enemy.
18. The front leg is pedaling for volley

19. Turn around and sweep your leg right back

20. Slap the defensive leg + kick the crotch to counterattack
Both sides stand and face off in a left-hand fighting style; The enemy attacked our middle and upper set with a right whip leg, and our side quickly slapped the enemy’s right leg with our left hand; The enemy again attacked our middle and upper plates with a right whip leg, and our side immediately kicked the enemy in the crotch with the right leg, knocking the enemy down.
