3 Practical Methods of Sanda Leg Techniques

1. Practical use of kicking: (Taking the right leg as an example) When both sides are moving, when facing the opponent in front, take advantage of their unpreparedness and kick their upper limbs (such as the head, neck, and chest), as shown in Figure 28.

2. Practical use of whip leg: (Taking the right whip leg as an example) When facing the opponent head-on, take advantage of the situation and step up with the right high whip leg to hit the opponent’s head (as shown in Figure 29).

3. Practical usage of kicking: (Taking left kicking as an example) When both sides are moving and facing the opponent head-on, take advantage of the situation and use the left kicking to hit the opponent’s chest or head (as shown in Figure 30).

4. Practical application of leg swinging: (Taking the left rear leg swinging as an example) When both sides move, take advantage of the unprepared situation and quickly combine leg movements. Strike the head with the right whip leg and the left rear swing leg (as shown in Figures 31-1 to 31-2).

5. Practical application of splitting and hanging legs: (Taking the right splitting and hanging leg as an example) When both sides are moving and the opponent wants to attack, take advantage of the situation and find the time difference to use the splitting and hanging leg to hit the opponent’s head or chest (as shown in Figure 32).

6. Practical application of side kick in the air: (taking left side kick in the air as an example) Take the initiative to attack, and when the opponent is not yet ready to attack or defend, rise up in the air and use height and inertia to kick the opponent’s abdomen, head, etc. (as shown in Figures 33-1 to 33-2).
