20 Moves Chen Style Tai Chi Practice

Chen-style Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese type of boxing, which contains a wealth of exquisite combat techniques. These moves won’t work in the ring, but self-defense works well.

1. Swing your arms into your elbows

The enemy struck us in the throat with his right palm (Figure 1). We then grabbed the enemy’s right arm with our left hand (Figure 2). Immediately afterwards, our right foot stepped forward at the same time and smashed the enemy’s throat with a right fist (Figure 3). While the enemy was dodging behind, we quickly bent our right elbow and hit the enemy’s heart socket with the tip of our elbow (Fig. 4).

Second, the white crane has bright wings

The enemy punches us in the chest with a straight right stroke; Our side immediately wrapped the enemy’s right forearm with his left hand (Figure 2-1). The enemy then punches our right temple with a left fist; Our side quickly swung our right hand to catch the enemy’s left fist (Figure 2-2). Immediately afterwards, our right hand held the enemy’s left wrist and led it down to the right rear, and the left hand lifted the enemy’s right arm upwards (Fig. 2-3). We then quickly thrust our right shoulder into the enemy’s left chest and pushed the enemy out (Figures 2-4).

Third, raise the knee top

The enemy crouches down and puts his hands forward around our left leg (Figure 3-1). Taking advantage of the enemy’s upward pounce, our side suddenly raised the knee to hit the enemy’s jaw, and at the same time hit the back of the enemy’s head with both fists, and the knee lift and the top of the cover formed a joint force (Figure 3-2). The enemy let go and retreated, and our side kicked the enemy in the lower abdomen with his left foot (Figure 3-3).

Fourth, turn around and pound

The enemy sneaks into our back ribs with both palms from behind (Figure 4-1). We quickly dodged to the right and hit the enemy’s left jaw with our left elbow (Figure 4-2). Immediately afterwards, we turned around and slammed the enemy’s heart socket with our right elbow (Figure 4-2).

5. Double push hand

The enemy punches me in the face (Figure 5-1). We quickly wrapped our left hand around the enemy’s left wrist and used our right hand to brush his left elbow (Figure 5-2). Immediately afterwards, our side stepped up to the right and struck out the enemy with both palms (Figures 5-2, Figs. 5-4).

6. Pounding the bottom of the elbow

The enemy punched me in the face with a left-hand punch (Figure 6-1). We quickly swung our left arm and raised our left fist (Figure 6-2). Immediately afterwards, while flipping up with our left hand, we suddenly launched our right fist and slammed into the enemy’s chest ribs from under the left elbow (Figure 6-3).

7. Inverted brachial

The enemy suddenly sneaks around our back from behind (Figure 7-1). Without waiting for the enemy to hold it, we quickly stepped back and inserted it between the enemy’s legs, while piercing an elbow with our right hand and slamming the enemy’s chest (Figure 7-2).

8. Regress and press the elbow

The enemy punches our throat with a straight right shot (Figure 8-1). We quickly amputated the enemy’s right wrist with our left hand, and combined forces with our right hand to bring his elbow joint downward (Fig. 8-2, Fig. 8-3). Immediately afterwards, while pressing our elbows with both hands, we suddenly kicked the knee socket of the enemy’s right leg with our right leg (Figs. 8-4).

9. The white snake spits out letters

The enemy attacked our chest with a right-hand punch; We quickly used our left hand to pull the enemy’s right fist downwards and outwards (Figure 9-1). At the same time, we struck the enemy’s throat with our right palm (Figure 9-2).

10. Flash back

The enemy sends a right punch to attack our face; Our figure quickly turned to the right, holding the enemy’s right arm with both hands and pulling to the right (Figure 10-1). The upward movement continued, and at the same time the lumbar axis continued to turn to the right, and raised its right leg to sweep the enemy’s right leg, knocking the enemy down (Figure 10-2).

11. The green dragon comes out of the water

The enemy steps up to the right and slaps our chest and neck with his right palm; We buckle the enemy’s right wrist with our right hand (Figure 11-1). We then pressed the enemy’s right elbow socket with our left elbow (Figure 11-2). Immediately afterwards, we sent our left fist to slam the enemy’s lower abdomen (Figure 11-3).

XII. Two feet

We hit the enemy in the chest with our right elbow, and the enemy leaned back to dodge (Figure 12-1). We quickly turned to the right and kicked the enemy’s vulva with our left leg (Figure 12-2). When the enemy retreats and dodges, we then fly up and kick him in the face or chest (Figure 12-3).

13. Amputate your elbow and lean

The enemy punched me in the chest with a straight right punch, and we quickly intercepted the enemy’s right arm with both hands and led it back (Figure 13-1). Immediately afterwards, we stepped forward at the same time and inserted our left leg between the enemy’s legs (Figure 13-2). We then quickly swung our left elbow and hit the enemy’s chest with the tip of our elbow (Fig. 13-3).

14. Tie-up clothes

The enemy punched me in the chest with a right stroke (Figure 14-1). We immediately turned to the right and grabbed the enemy’s right arm with our left hand, while inserting our right foot between the enemy’s legs (Figure 14-2). Immediately afterwards, our side quickly slammed our right elbow into the enemy’s fossa (Figure 14-3).

15. Single whip

The enemy attacks our chest with a right fist (Figure 15-1). We quickly grabbed the enemy’s right wrist with our right hand, while advancing sideways, and whipped our left arm into the chest or neck (Figs. 15-2, Fig. 15-3).

XVI. Dragon Bird

The enemy struck me in the chest with a right lunge double push (Figure 16-1). Our side quickly crouched down, grabbed the enemy’s right arm with our right hand, supported the enemy’s right arm with our left hand, and swept the enemy’s right leg with our left foot (Fig. 16-1, Fig. 16-2).

Seventeen, step up seven stars

Our side thrust our left palm into the enemy’s throat, dodging backwards in the enemy’s direction, while turning our right fist in a circle to spread our left palm (Figures 17-1, Fig. 17-2). Our side immediately stepped up to the right and fired a right cannon to hit the enemy’s throat (Figure 17-3).

XVIII. Cloud hands

The enemy punches us in the face with a right rush, and we intercept it with our right hand (Figure 18-1). We then turned left and advanced to the enemy’s right lateral flank, pressing our left elbow against the enemy’s chest (Fig. 18-2). The enemy turned to the right to dodge our left elbow, while we immediately collapsed forward and pressed both palms on the enemy’s chest and abdomen (Fig. 18-3).

19. High Tanma

The enemy attacked our door with a stubborn right punch, and our side intercepted it with our left palm (Figure 19-1). Then we clasp the enemy’s right wrist with our left palm and stroke it downward, while turning to the left and clasping the enemy’s right elbow with our right palm (Fig. 19-2). Immediately afterwards, our side quickly pushed the palm of both hands from the side and knocked the enemy out (Figure 19-3).

20. Double pendulum lotus

The enemy stepped up to the right and grabbed my shoulders with both hands (Figure 20-1). Our left arm immediately turns inward and downward, and the right arm turns inward and upwards in a circular twist, leading the enemy’s center of gravity to the side, while turning the body to the left, lifting the right leg, swinging and kicking at the enemy’s right knee socket, and combining both hands, waist, and right leg to throw the enemy out on his back (Fig. 20-2, Fig. 20-3).
