The Chinese martial arts proverb says: “The hand is two doors, all rely on the leg to hit someone”, which means that the leg has great power in the attack. But there are two sides to everything, only one leg supports when attacking with the leg, and the center of gravity is easily unbalanced and forced to fall. Therefore, in the actual combat of sanda fighting, if our side seizes the opportunity, whether it is holding one or both legs of the enemy, as long as we skillfully use techniques such as copying, twisting, carrying, pinning, tripping, etc., we can cause the enemy’s center of gravity to shift, lose balance and fall to the ground.
In self-defense, our side can not only defeat the strong with weakness by holding the legs, but also quickly leave the scene after falling down the enemy, and will not cause major damage to the enemy and be suspected of excessive defense. Therefore, it is very necessary to master certain fighting techniques of leg throwing.
1. Hold your legs and fall on your shoulders
Our left fighting style against the enemy, the enemy attacks our chest and abdomen with the right right leg; We immediately dodged diagonally to the left and forward, while grabbing the enemy’s right ankle with both hands (Figure 1-1). We then quickly turned 180 degrees to the right, walking with our legs together in a semi-squatting position, while holding the enemy’s right leg with both hands and carrying it over our left shoulder (Figs. 1-2). Followed by. Our legs immediately kick upwards and our legs straight, while our upper body bends forward vigorously and bows down, and our hands firmly grasp the enemy’s right ankle and pull it forward and down, throwing the enemy forward and backwards from our left shoulder (Figures 1-3).
Second, the leg is broken
Our left fighting style against the enemy, the enemy attacks our chest and abdomen with the left right leg; We immediately dodged diagonally to the right and forward, while grabbing the enemy’s left ankle with both hands (Figure 2-1). We then use both hands to pull the enemy’s left leg backwards, while rotating the arc and circle in a counterclockwise direction (Figure 2-2). The enemy’s left leg was pulled and rotated by our side, and the body was forced to fall outward and fall to the ground (Fig. 2-3).
Third, hold the legs and throw the legs
Our left fighting style against the enemy, the enemy with the left front kick kick to hit our chest and abdomen; We immediately dodged diagonally to the right and at the same time grabbed the enemy’s left ankle with both hands (Figure 3-1). Immediately, our hands quickly and firmly supported the enemy’s left heel and lifted it upwards, forcing the enemy’s upper body center of gravity to move back (Figure 3-2). We keep moving upwards, and while we lift the enemy’s left leg, we advance our legs forward and push the enemy’s left leg forward with both hands, forcing the enemy’s upper body center of gravity to lose balance and fall backwards on his back (Figure 3-2).
Fourth, hold the leg and wrestle
Our left fighting style against the enemy, the enemy with the left front kick kick to hit our chest and abdomen; We immediately dodged diagonally to the right and at the same time grabbed the enemy’s left ankle with both hands (Figure 3-1). Immediately afterwards, our left hand grasps the enemy’s left heel, the right hand grasps the enemy’s right foot, and both hands quickly and forcefully pull the enemy’s left leg back to force the enemy’s center of gravity forward and the right leg is forced to kneel (Figure 3-2). Constantly moving upwards, our hands twist the enemy’s right ankle outward to force the enemy’s left leg to turn outward and drive the upper body outward to the ground (Figure 3-2).
Fifth, hold your legs and don’t fall
Our left fighting style against the enemy, the enemy with the left front kick kick to hit our chest and abdomen; We immediately dodged diagonally to the right front, while grabbing the enemy’s left heel with our left hand and raising our right hand above the enemy’s left leg (Figure 3-1). Moving upward, we quickly wrapped our right arm around the enemy’s left calf, bent down, leaned forward, and grabbed it by inserting our left hand from under the enemy’s crotch to the back of the thigh of the enemy’s right leg as a support leg (Figure 3-2). Then we turn our body to the right, use our left shoulder and left forearm to force the right against the enemy’s left leg, pin the back of the enemy’s right thigh with our right hand, and drop the enemy to the ground (Figure 3-3).
Our side confronts the enemy in a right-hand fighting style, and the enemy attacks our head with a straight left fist in the upper right step; We immediately block outward with our right hand and grab the enemy’s left wrist (Figure 8-1). Immediately afterwards, we pull the enemy’s left arm back with our right hand, lean forward to pass the left arm through the enemy’s crotch, and grab the back of the enemy’s left thigh with our left hand (Figure 8-2). Constantly moving upwards, we hold our left shoulder tightly against the enemy’s left crotch and lean hard to the left and back, while pinning the enemy’s left leg with our left hand, thus pinning the enemy to the ground (Figure 8-3).
9. Hold your legs and fall on your knees
We fight the enemy in a left-hand fighting style, and the enemy kicks our chest with a right whip leg; We immediately slid to the right and dodged while blocking the enemy’s right whip with our left shoulder (Figure 9-1). Immediately using our left arm to grab the enemy’s right calf from under the enemy’s right leg, we turn left and step right to the inside of the enemy’s left leg to trip the enemy’s left leg, and hold the enemy’s right knee with our right hand (Figure 9-2). Immediately afterwards, our right leg tightly tripped the enemy’s left leg, then turned to the left, pushed forward with the right hand and pressed the inside of the enemy’s right knee, and twisted down on the enemy’s right calf with the left shoulder, thus pushing the enemy and falling to the ground (Figure 9-3).
10. Hold your legs and fall over your shoulders
Our left fighting style against the enemy, the enemy steps up to the left and attacks our head with a straight left fist; We immediately crouched down to dodge, while sliding forward and approaching, wrapping our arms around the enemy’s legs and knees and pressing our left shoulder against the enemy’s hip (Figure 10-1). Immediately afterwards, we step up to the right and the left foot, then press the ground with both legs hard, straighten the upper body, and at the same time hold the enemy with both arms and legs upwards and carry the enemy on our left shoulder (Figure 10-2). Immediately with our left foot moving to the left, our legs stride into a horse to stabilize our body, then our upper body leans back to the right, while our arms continue to put our arms around the enemy’s legs, and we fall the enemy backwards behind us from our left shoulder (Figure 10-3).
11. Hold your legs and fall on your shoulders
Our left fighting style against the enemy, the enemy steps up to the left and attacks our head with his left fist; We immediately crouch down to dodge incoming punches, while sliding forward and approaching, wrapping our arms around the enemy’s legs and knees and pressing our left shoulder against the enemy’s hip (Figure 11-1). Immediately afterwards, we pull the enemy’s legs back and up with both hands, while using our left shoulder to press the enemy’s hips forward and down, causing the enemy to lose his center of gravity and his body to the air and roll backwards (Figure 11-2). Our side continued to move upwards and dropped the enemy backwards to the ground (Figure 11-3).
12. Hold your legs and don’t fall on your legs
Our left fighting style against the enemy, the enemy steps up to the left and attacks our head with his left fist; We immediately crouch downwards to dodge incoming punches, while sliding forward and approaching, wrapping our left hand around the enemy’s left thigh and the enemy’s right heel or right calf with our right hand (Figure 12-1). We then get up and lift the enemy’s left leg up with both hands, while inserting our left foot from under the enemy’s crotch behind the enemy’s right foot (Figure 12-2). Constantly moving upward, our left leg firmly pinned to the enemy’s right leg, while holding the enemy’s left leg in front of the chest with both hands, then turned the body to the right and twisted the enemy’s left thigh down with the left shoulder and left chest to the right, forcing the enemy to fall to his left rear (Figure 12-3).
