10 knee attacks for Muay Thai

Muay Thai is known for its ferocity. There is a boxing proverb in Muay Thai that it is better to use elbows and knees than fists. It can be seen that Muay Thai attaches great importance to the attack of knee and elbow.

“Kung Fu Martial Arts Cool” has compiled a set of Muay Thai knee attack moves, a total of 10 moves, and now share it with you.

In the icons below, both sides use a left-fighting style.

1. Left top hook boxing jaw + right swing boxing head + right top knee rib + left top knee rib

The enemy attacks our abdomen with a left hook; We block down with our right fist while hitting the enemy’s jaw with our left upper hook (Figure 1). We then punched the enemy in the head with a right swing and hit the enemy’s left rib with our right knee (Fig. 2). The opponent countered with a right fist, and we punched with our left forearm, while hitting the enemy’s right rib with our left knee (Figure 3).

2. Right flash anti-fist + right upper hook punch chest + right top knee ribs

The enemy attacks our head with a straight left fist; We immediately dodged to the right side and dodged the enemy’s left fist (Figure 4). Immediately afterwards, we slid forward and approached and punched the enemy chest and heart with an upper right hook (Figure 5). We then slammed our right knee forward and upwards into the enemy’s ribs (Fig. 6).

3. Right upper hook boxing belly + left straight boxing head + right top knee hitting ribs

We slide forward and attack the enemy’s abdomen with our upper right hook (Figure 7). Immediately afterwards, our side attacked the enemy’s head with a left straight fist; The enemy swiped left to dodge (Figure 8). Taking advantage of the moment when the enemy was sliding to the left to dodge, our side quickly hit the enemy’s left rib with our right top knee (Figure 9).

4. Left arm block anti-fist + right straight boxing head + left rush top knee hit chest + both hands hoop neck right rush top knee hit chest

The enemy steps forward and right, and attacks our chest with a straight right fist; We immediately block the defense with our left arm and hit the enemy in the head with a straight right punch (Figure 10). Immediately afterwards, we slammed our left knee forward and upwards into the chest and heart socket of the enemy (Figure 11). We then grabbed the enemy’s neck with both hands, pulled it back, pressed it down, and at the same time slammed the enemy’s chest and abdomen with a right-hand thrust forward and upward thrust (Fig. 12).

5. Right upper hook boxing belly + left straight boxing head + hands hoop neck right rush top knee ribs

We slid forward and approached the enemy with a top right hook (Fig. 13). We then hit the enemy in the head with a left straight punch (Figure 14). Regardless of whether our left straight fist hits the enemy or not, we will follow the trend by clamping the enemy’s neck with both hands, pulling back and pressing down, while hitting the enemy’s chest and ribs with the right straight knee (Figure 15).

6. Left hook boxing belly + double arm blocking anti-sweeping leg + both hands hoop neck right rush top knee belly

Our side slides forward and closes and attacks the enemy’s abdomen with an upper left hook; The enemy’s right foot steps diagonally up to the right and dodges to the right (Figure 16). While the enemy dodges, he kicks our right waist ribs with his left sweeping leg; We immediately approached with our left foot forward, while blocking the enemy’s left leg sweep with both forearms outward (Figure 17). Immediately afterwards, we grabbed the enemy’s neck with both hands, pulled back, pressed down, and slammed the enemy’s abdomen with our right-hand top knee (Fig. 18).

7. Left straight boxing head + right straight boxing belly + hands hoop neck right rush top knee chest

Our side steps forward and left and attacks the enemy’s head with a straight left fist; The enemy blocks the defense with his right forearm on the top (Figure 19). Immediately afterwards, our side attacked the enemy’s abdomen with a right straight fist; The enemy slid to the right and dodged (Figure 20). We took the opportunity to grab the enemy’s neck with both hands, pull it back, press it down, and hit the enemy’s chest with our right-hand top knee (Fig. 21).

8. The left side dodges the anti-fist + the left upper hook boxing belly + the right upper hook boxing belly + the right top knee hits the ribs

The enemy attacks our head with a straight left fist; I dodged to the left side while punching the enemy in the abdomen with an upper left hook (Figure 22). Immediately afterwards, we continued to attack the enemy’s abdomen with a top right hook (Figure 23). Finally, we hit the enemy’s left rib with our right knee (Fig. 24).

The enemy slid forward and approached, attacking our head with a straight left fist; I dodged to the right side and countered with a straight left punch on the head (Fig. 25). Immediately afterwards, we attacked the enemy’s abdomen with a top right hook (Figure 26). We then grabbed the enemy by the neck with both hands, pulled back, pressed down, and hit the enemy’s chest with a right-hand top knee (Fig. 27).

10. Low left sweep leg kick + double arm block anti-sweep leg + side flash anti-fist + right top knee hit chest

We kicked the enemy’s left calf with a low left leg sweep (Figure 28). After the enemy raised his left leg to dodge, he landed with his left foot and hit us in the head with a high right leg sweep; We immediately blocked the defense with both arms (Figure 29). Immediately afterwards, the enemy’s right foot landed on the ground and attacked our head with a straight right fist; I slid forward to the left, dodged sideways past the enemy’s right fist, and slammed my right knee into the enemy’s chest (Figure 30).
